I’ve been trying to catch some prey for a while. I won’t let you get away! she thought to herself as if she was talking to it.
Suddenly, she pounced close to it and caught it before it could scamper away. She walked back to Duskfern, carrying the mouse by it’s tail.
She giggled slightly as she meowed, “Ta-da!”
She padded back to Duskfern’s side and kept going.

(Dusk be crushing-)
She had her eyes widened slightly as Darkbloom. Not in surprise. In fact, she didn’t know why. Soon, she snapped out of it and it formed into a small smile. She felt warm inside. It was strange.
”Nice catch,” Duskfern complimented her new friend.
“You’re good at hunting.”
She padded along with Darkbloom, looking around. She was supposed to be looking for prey, but she got distracted.
”I never noticed how beautiful it was here,” she observed.
“With the tall, shadowy pine trees to the lush grass.. it’s nice.”
