“Are you challenging me?” she asked with a smile.
“If you are, I did tell you I have amazing hunting skills.”
She prepared to race to a spot where she thought one might be.
”Meet back here when I win,” she laughed.
“GO!” she announced the start.
Darkbloom went to the right, then sniffed the air. This part had faint scents of vole and other prey. She just hoped they weren’t gone.
