Rushingmoor pulled himself together quickly, hating the emotion that was pouring out of him. As Stagleech told him not to cry, he smiled and roughly wiped away any tears that had snuck out, giving Stag a squeeze to return the hug but not lingering.

“Sorry, I-uh guess I’m tired or something.”

As soon as Stag took the first bite, Mushy filled his mouth with a large chunk of rabbit, wanting to move on from the sappy conversation even though it had made him feel more happy and relieved than he had in moons.
