There was a truth to his answer that Flute had yet to face. Despite the chance of stability, the forest did seem daunting and horrific. Though she was sure she could manage, she wasn't entirely sure if she would brave the unknown for a chance at possible comfort. "I bet the city has it's wild nights too." There was a twinkle in her eye as she gazed at Cosmo. Perhaps she would have to turn up the heat just a bit in order to speed up this trust train.

As she was about to do just that, a lonesome howl interrupted her. Not many things sent shivers down her spine, and if they did she would always hide it. But she couldn't help but feel her blood run cold. "What was that?" she echoed, turning her head this way and that as if she could somehow catch a source. "Should we go check it out? I mean, if it's a predator, if we got our eyes on it first then we'd be able to plan what to do next." Briefly, she wondered where Chief was. Her brother tended to rush head first into these kinds of situations, no matter the danger level, and she'd been the one to stop him from brushes with death on several occasions. But he was on his own for this one, as she wasn't quite ready to leave her companion just yet.
