Silver walked out her fur in a tangled mess. Continuously sheathing and unsheathing her claws to steady herself. Her dappled pelt was dirty, but she did not care. Cleanliness was not one of her strong-suits. Maybe that's why not many cats ever approached her, or maybe it was just because she wasn't a very likable person. The she-cat wasn't paying much attention and stumbled over a small yet neat pile of pebbles. She didn't care who had put it there, but for goodness sake, it hurt. Her paw throbbed although she kept walking. Feeling hungry she needed to do some hunting, although she was not very good at that. Silver wasn't very good at a lot of things. Probably the only thing she was actually decent at was sleeping. Even though she had trouble doing that sometimes. It had felt like her life had been falling apart ever since her best friend had died in a battle with a fox. Her best friend, Hawkcreek, was the only person in her life who had ever stuck around. He was very sweet, and she missed him dearly. Maybe that was when it had all started to crumble. Or maybe it was just the one thing that had set her over the edge. Silver's stomach twisted as she thought about Hawkcreek. Or maybe it was just because she was hungry. Nonetheless, hunting would do her good. It would for one thing distract her and for another, satisfy her hunger.
