Could he.. stand down? He didn't want to. They could try something. But then again. If anything happened, he could just.. run. Or take himself and Umber to Star. After all, it wasn't that hard to access that place. His eyes remained narrowed at the girl as his tendrils began to vanish. Though one remained, the one wrapped around his sister. "This doesn't mean I trust you." Which he didn't trust them. At all. Umber probably would, but he wouldn't. People scared him. Especially since the few he trusted the most hurt him. Well, all except Umber. Star hurt him. Though he didn't mean to. Star justified it as protecting them. Umber called it unnecessary attacks. He ended up killing their father, the only one who could revive Star. Too late now. He would forever wait in the Realm of Darkness. "I know my sister would probably trust you people, but I never will. I don't think I'll be telling you anything about me or her." He hid his fear. He let his guard down, a little bit, but still. It was enough. If he was down, they would take Umber. Since she was asleep, anyways.

"Then why demand information from us when you refuse to tell us anything? Doesn't exactly seem fair now does it?" She huffed, putting her daggers away as she slowly approached the man before her only to have Kai pull her back as he held her in his arms glaring at the man. "Don't Onyx, lets just leave It's obvious he doesn't trust us nor does he wish to share anything about himself"
