Montag’s good eye was difficult to read—there was a peculiar haze to it, like looking through frosted glass. The image behind them was blurry, clandestine. Montag let out a low, half amused chuckle.
“Oh, come now—the moral high ground is always a boring spot to camp out at. I draw a few lines—generally right between mildly tolerable and mildly irritating. I think of myself as a civil servant...the only thing worse than rudeness is being downright tedious.” He remarked coolly, with a dangerous smirk and a flick of an ear.
