Embershadow entered the camp, a squirrel and a mouse clasped in his jaws. Padding over to the fresh-kill pile, he dropped them on top. Lately, he'd been doing solo hunting patrols to try and make up for the lack of warriors in camp. Someone had to keep the Clan fed.
He selected a finch and laid down, nodding to the other cat sitting around the pile. "Hey, Briarpaw," he greeted her.
