Stream saw that the kit desperately needed help. She picked her up on her back and brought her to her den. "it will all be ok..." she told the kit. Jewel lifted her head smelling the mouse that had been laid before her. Her cut stung as the other cat put an odd sticky substance over it. But she was so grateful for the mouse that she ate in silence, licking ever last morcel off of the bones. She purred gratefully and fell asleep. Feeling full for the first time in her young life.
