➳ Sunchaser

What was going on? Had the stars lost their minds? First his disastrous interaction with Sageflurry (that hadn't even happened), then the blow-out with Sunpoppy and Hareflood, and now he had an apprentice? Someone else to take care of besides himself? He simply couldn't comprehend the thought of it. What skills or attributes did he even have to pass on? His fighting skills were average, and hunting was... well... somewhat dismal at best.

He was doomed from the start. Maybe that's what Buckstar had wanted. To expose his failures and weakness as a warrior by giving him an apprentice. Was this the beginning of his exile from ThunderClan? Oh, all the times he had wished to leave, he hadn't actually meant any of them! He couldn't leave.

Suddenly, his ears shot up. Of course! How could he have forgotten? The one cat who just might be able to help him out.

"Moony? Hey, Prancer, where are you?" he called, eyes searching desperately for his brother. "Mooney!" Upon spotting him, Sunchaser hurried over, aiming to swipe his tongue across his brother's ear in an affectionate greeting.

"Oh, Moon, you wouldn't believe the days. First, I tried to talk to Sageflurry, right? But, as I went up, she completely ignored me and went out! Well, I mean, she was on a patrol, so... But still! Of course after that I had to leave camp - I mean, could you imagine the embarrassment if I stayed? No. Thank you. But then I ran into Sunpoppy and Hareflood. And well... they just left too!" All of this just tumbled out, the tabby barely taking a moment to breathe. "And now Buckstar wants me to train an apprentice! Can you believe it? Me... I can't train anything! I can't even train myself! Oh, bother. What am I to do Prance?"
