The overwhelmingly fragile, emotional side of him wished to be upset with everything and everyone involved.
"Out," he sulked, cranky. Following his departure from the Windswept Plains, he'd hidden away in a place never intended to be found. "So?" Who cared? Nobody in this Clan gave a damn if he happened to be one of those corpses in the clearing. They'd probably skip the mourning.
There was a tiny part of him that remained so, so thankful that Hareflood didn't say a word about what'd happened with Sunchaser.
Shredding the loose tufts of frozen ground in front of him, Sunpoppy scowled at the snow. "It doesn't matter anymore."

Hareflood let out an angry little hiss, puffing his pelt up as he took a step toward his friend. "Out? That's all you give me? Cats died while you were off pouting in the woods. I--" He sucked in air quickly, cutting himself off. I don't know what I would've done if that'd been you.
He lashed his tail, averting his gaze. "Fine, it doesn't matter." It did. "Just.. never mind." Hareflood cleared his throat, forcing his fur down despite how unhappy he was with the situation. "Sunkissed Creek is where they were attacked. You wanna check it out? Might see the other corpse."
