Re: Fisher's Point
Dogs, wolves, and a badger. Cinnamon had spotted dogs all over, but never a wolf or badger. She recognized their names, however. She believed wolves were similar to coyotes, just slightly bigger in size. As for badgers, she was unable to recall ever seeing or listening to a description of one. The brown-swirled she-cat passed by trees as she went, refusing to stop and share a glance with Chief. They were to keep going if they wanted to make it to the eerie sound that howled in the air. Although, Cinnamon stopped at Chief’s next question, despite the fact that she specifically instructed herself not to. Her claws unsheathed, gripping the ground.
”And I thought you were the one who told me to go here in the first place. Shouldn’t you have a plan?” her head swung around rapidly, a fierce green gaze equipped, staring right at Chief.
Her anger was triggered quite a bit by this, but then again, she felt ashamed she didn’t figure out a plan herself. Guess they would just have to go see and hope for their dear life that they wouldn’t get killed in the process, unless either they had an idea, or turned around now.
➳ Chief Laughter rang in the air around them as Chief halted his own pawsteps to take in Cinnamon's reply. She hadn't a plan? How... very house cat of her. "You upwalker toys never seem to think ahead, do you?" He grinned as he came up to her side, offering her a wink and a smirk as the tip of his tail danced lightly next to her flank.
"Obviously, if we run into anything, you have the A-OK to just hide and let me handle it," Chief stated, taking off once more with his sights set on the forest ahead of them. "But, if you feel ever-so-inclined, you're welcome to lend a claw or two, so long as you don't get yourself killed." There was a hint of unusual seriousness to his last words. While he was carefree and unafraid of what lay ahead, the last thing he wanted to do was become a designated babysitter and have to haul Cinnamon's lifeless body out of the forest.
A smirk developed on his face. He thought too much of himself, obviously. Like he would ever go that far to help someone else that wasn't his sister.

➳ Flute Flute allowed herself to slow her pace as she fell into step beside Cosmo. It made sense for them to stick together, and if needed, she could easily just push him ahead of her to distract whatever had made the noise.
With her getaway plan in place, she glanced over at the tom, eyes glinting. "Oh, I'm sure with the right pair of cats, a wolf would be no problem," she purred in response, taking a brief moment to flex her own claws. Not that she would be any help in taking down the gigantic beasts. But she could easily cause a distraction...
As the shoreline came into view, the water dark and oddly still, Flute cast her attention to the sides, nose twitching to catch any wafting scents. "Well, I think we can rule out underwater monster, because I feel like it would've attacked us by now," she stated with a small shrug of her shoulders.

Orpheus was spending a lot of time doing absolutely nothing, so when he saw someone doing something, he couldn’t help but walk himself over. He slipped behind them, not caring if the cat noticed or not - he wasn’t trying to hide, he just wanted to have a cool introduction.
“They won’t miss the webbies but they’ll sure as stars miss your cool self!” Orpheus butted in after the cat said something. “Aye, hi, I’m Orpheus!” He introduced himself, saying his name a little louder than the other words to add some pizzazz and specialness to it. On another note, he wasn’t really understanding why anyone would miss webs. Did they do stuff? Maybe it’d be fun to play with ‘em - stick em and claw em and tear em and stuff. He’d never tried it. Were webs edible? Food? So many possibilities, so little factual information.
He looked around for a second, hoping the cat didn’t go away while he searched for a web. It took a minute, but after walking around a small ways away, he found a weak little web sheltering in some low branches. He snatched it up before walking back to his fellow outsider, then set the web down before poking and prodding at it. Some of the web lines tore as he jabbed, and although it was pretty satisfying watching the bits rip, Orpheus wouldn’t call it fun. Hmm — so he could cross that off the list of possible uses. Err— maybe it was easier to just ask. “Whatcha need webs for, anyway?” He mumbled, looking at the cat.
➳ Gale As she continued to back up, Gale didn't see the cat who'd joined her until he spoke. Letting out a yowl she whipped around, effectively placing her paw on the ground and muddying up come of the webs she had already. "You... idiot!" she screeched, ears flat and hackles raised. Who in the hell was this bozo? She'd never seen him before, and his scent didn't belong to one of the four Clans.
No, he was a stranger, a real outsider much like her. But she liked to keep tabs on every outsider. So why was she drawing a blank on his name?
Pushing the thought of his identity away, Gale took a few moments to let her fur lie flat - though it was forced. At his happy-go-luck attitude, she found her own sour mood deepened. Today was just an off-day for her, and her expressions certainly showed it. "I needed them to heal," she snapped, refusing to elaborate anymore to this tom. Her home was private, a secret, one that she kept hidden.
Watching him tear up some webs she had missed made her heart ache. She could've used those, as she was already noting that half of the ones she had were ruined. "Now why would you tear them up?" Disappointment laced her tone, along with an exasperated sigh. Letting her eyes meet his, she forced her eyes to remain still. "Who are you, anyways? I usually know most of the cats around these parts, but you... I don't recognize your scent."
