Well, there went that conversation. Sunripple didn't really have a reply for just agreeing with him. Nonetheless, it wasn't to horrible to just sit beside her and eat. It was more comforting than not just to have her presence in the area. Sunripple felt she was a little distracted but it didn't really matter by what. All he hoped for was that she wasn't referring her decision to admit she liked him. That would be the most horrible thing he could think of. But Sunripple quickly pushed that doubt out of his mind because he trusted her.
"How have you been?" It sounded like two old friends catching up, and that's probably what onlookers thought of it. It was more of a question two lovers would tell each other after learning something that affected them. It was more sincere than asking a distant friend. That's what made it more of a personal thing.

Cedarleaf looked back down at her mouse. She hoped she hadn't ruined anything with her answer, because Sunripple didn't reply. Maybe she was right. Maybe this was a dream. Maybe her life was a dream. Maybe EVERYTHING was a dream! What if it was? What if everything was a dream, and every cat lived in StarClan and ended up waking up there after a nice, long nap? What if all cats had different dreams? What if all the cats in her dreams were just made up? No, it couldn't be a dream. She couldn't dream in a dream, could she? And she would've been able to regain her hearing at any moment and stop anything bad or unpleasant. That would've been nice.
Cedarleaf looked up a Sunripple again, her mind torn away from the thoughts when he started to speak.
"Good," she replied. She was still somehow a bit jittery from when she confessed her crush on him, but happy. Very happy.
