A beautiful white she-cat with tan patches heard cats laughing and talking. "Dash! Root! Shade! Over here!" She hissed. Her three companions hurried over to her.
"Kali! What is it?" Dash hissed softly. Shade narrowed his yellow eyes.
Root said nothing.
"Trespassers." She snarled softly. "Root, go make sure Sunset is in her den. Protect her if needed." The yellow tabby tom nodded and ran off. "Dash, Shade, come with me." She slipped into the bushes and appeared in the clearing, flanked by the two large toms. "Who are you, and why are you on our territory?!" Kali snapped, unsheathing her claws. She didn't want to fight, but this was her place, her home. Invaders were trouble.

Whisker glanced back and forth from Jay, to Kali and the toms behind her. Marsh, however, smiled down at the kit. Now he remembered! This was one of Lily´s kits! ¨I am Marsh,¨ He said, ¨I am your mother´s friend.¨ Miststone´s fur prickled and she hissed at Kali, Dash, and Shade, unsheathing her claws. Leaf cocked his head at them as Marsh stepped in front of Jay protectively. He did not want to fight, and he did not want to see a young kit get injured.
¨Because we live here?¨ Leaf said, his head still cocked. He glanced over at his sisters and brother and shrugged. ¨For a few seasons now.¨

"The question is, who are you." Jay mewed in a playful tone.
