The barking surprised her as she struggled to her paws. She scanned the Irish Setter then sighed. "Thanks for telling me that." she barked, sarcastically.

"Now don't come over here with an attitude like that. The way it was looking, you seemed ready to give up. Lie down and die as I've heard some say it." He turned back towards the direct he came from. "I have a shelter big enough for the two of us. Come on. Let's get you out of this rain." Without waiting for her to respond, he walked away towards the shelter, which was a small cave on the side of a hill, however it did it's job of keeping the rain and the wind out.
