As soon as he’d finished speaking, the deputy stalked off, tasting the air for the scent of prey. He quickly located a large squirrel and closed it on it, catching it and administering a killing bite.

Finally Shadepaw thought, he was finally done with his hunting lessons. Shadepaw wasn't happy because the lessons were over, he was just a cat that loved to do things quickly at times. Especially if it seemed like it was taking a bit too long. After watching Finchwhisker stalk off in the direction of a squirrel, Shadepaw turned the other way and sniffed the air taking in the warm scents of the forest pricking his ears and readying himself to chase down his prey. Shadepaw stood there for a moment until he caught the strong scent of mouse, then stalked forward towards his prey
