He swiped at her tail, growling low in his throat. "Get that stinking thing out if my face before I bite it off." Threatening someone - also not usually on his agenda, but he thought she deserved it. She'd threatened him first, after all. Why couldn't he retaliate just a little?

'A place by her side.' Oh, that was rich. "It's Whisperpaw, Gingerkit," he hissed. "And, please, don't flatter yourself. As if I would team up with someone like you," he added, arching his brows at her as if that said all that needed to be said. She prattled on, mentioning his scars and making him flinch once more, though this time he sprang to his paws and snarled at her. "Would you like to try being eaten alive by some whacked-out monster of a cat at one moon old?" he spat. "Please, be my guest! See how it feels! I'd happily assist you!"

He glared at her a moment longer before taking a deep breath and trying to collect himself. "There you go again, bragging about yourself. You're likely to get your throat ripped out by one of those mutts you talk about fighting because you can't stop focusing on yourself. Me? I'll be at the front of that line, because while you talk big, I'm more than willing to bet you'd cower behind a bush at the first stink of dog."

At his hissed words, Gingerpaw whipped her tail away from his face, hiding it behind her. NOT that she felt a little bit threatened...not at all... but she had such a pretty tail, why risk it getting messed up? She was slightly taken aback at the audacity of the cat before her.

"There you go again, telling me your little sob story as if I care at all! If Dawnstar heard you talking like that, she'd really give you something to cry about!" She hissed, her fur fluffing up in anger. Boy would she LOVE to see Dawnstar carve up this little pipsqueak! "You really wanna talk? How about we have ourselves a little competition. Who ever kills the most dogs wins, that sound good to you Whisperkit?"
