Default Re: ThunderClan Joining and Rejoining

@Slushie

Thump, thump, thump.

Sunheart's heart pounded wildy in his chest.

"Buckbranch," he murmured. And all at once he felt so, so tired. His journey had been long and hard, but whenever he'd thought of the tortoiseshell tom, it had given him renewed strength.
Now that he'd finally found him, however, Sunheart had no more strength left to give. It felt so good being in the paws of his old friend, that he thought his heart might collapse wih joy.

But something wasn't right.

No- something was very, very wrong.

The yellow tom's heart was beating, yes, and with vigor, but it wasn't the same as it used to be. Whenever he was around Buckbranch, his heart had wings that fluttered wildly like a hummingbird's.

But now... now it sounded like a drum, steady and loud in his ears.

What had changed?

Well, now that change was on Sunheart's mind, he noticed yet another difference. Back when he was still in the clan, just a single look form Buckbranch left his head reeling and his stomach in knots.

But even though the tom was holding him, it just didn't feel the same.

Could it be?

Have I finally lost my love for him?

No, that wasn't it. He knew he would love him, forever and ever. That was his pledge.

But then, why had the feeling changed?

It was a mystery that had to wait, because right now, he'd finally found his long lost friend.

"I'm so sorry, Buckbranch. I'm home."
