(I'm going to give the patrol report to Twilightstar after this post, but we can continue this roleplay if you'd like. It'll be wrapped up soon, anyway.)

Rosebriar glanced over at Mudpaw as the lilac-colored tom spoke. She didn't exactly like how he replied to Onewhisker's comment. That was much more than "just a scratch" and any cat could see that. It was a bone-deep cut that bled heavily into the ground, as was probably expected for an apprentice who had literally killed a hawk, and so fast. Her ears twitched with slight annoyance. Seriously, making the situation more bloody and the wound worse wasn't going to help the Clan. Also, a haul of prey mixed with two badly injured cats wasn't the best thing in the world. Even though she was the patrol leader now, she'd rather have just hunted and not run into the hawk at all.

Rosebriar instantly tensed slightly at the "not to be rude" but relaxed as soon as Mudpaw finished what he was saying. She couldn't help but smile kindly at the apprentice, sweeter than normal, while pride surged through her. I knew that my planning, and the control of all the blood and feathers and injuries and the mess, paid off! Finally, some recognition from her Clan! Cats who thought that she was actually good at her job, and who didn't think that she was messing around and being lazy! She dipped her head. "Thank you," she purred, and added, "I try my best." That was true, wasn't it? All that she wanted to do was help her Clan, all while showing off how pure and stunning she was! As well as her brother. She loved Wolffang a lot. He was so brave and strong and good-looking, and really did a good job of passing down the family legacy. They really did have Featherwhisker's wonderful genes.

However, when Mudpaw recommended carrying the hawk, Rosebriar's leaf-green eyes narrowed. She was the new patrol leader, so she straightened herself up. Well, she already had good posture, but she had to make sure that she looked extra pretty and authoritative. "The wound in your leg is bone-deep. You have others as well, and you're a mess. I don't mean to be rude - you were very, very brave taking down that hawk - but your brain seems a little confused as well. I've seen cats faint from wounds that deep. I don't know how you're even still standing. I highly doubt that you'd be able to carry it on your back. Lean on Dawnfeather, Onewhisker will keep his rabbit and help you, and I'll take the rest back." She paused. A small part of her knew that Mudpaw would still insist. She let out a sigh.

"If you really want to do something, then you can carry the other rabbit. But not the hawk! I'll just get it and the mouse, if Onewhisker, you'd arrange it on my back. That's the best way to do this, in my opinion," Rosebriar finished. The hawk was actually a bit bigger than her, but that was mainly the wingspan. She could handle it! And her mouse, it was plump but wasn't the biggest thing in the world. Onewhisker had to focus on helping Mudpaw and Dawnfeather while she got the rest of the prey back to camp.
Onewhisker smiled softly at her "rosebriar while i see you want to help that hawk is almost as big as you, i can take it and the rabbit " he picked them both up and threw the hawk over his back while walking up to mudpaw and shaking his head "mudpaw are you sure i can't do more to help" he spoke his words muffled while he looked concerned at the apprentice. Onewhisker had always been like this, he was willing to push himself over the limit so others wouldn't have too, yes he was a bit dull but he made up for it in heart not that he thought so. He felt like he needed to do more and what he was doing wasn't enough. he spoke up a little more "and mudpaw dont tell me im fine thats a bone deep cut and its easy to see!" turning to the others he looked deep in thought. "rosebriar, i don't mean to question your orders but our main priority should be getting these two back to camp, if need be when we get there I can come back and grab it. I know a way we can hide it and cover the scent so it will be safe." he wasn't really asking more simply telling her that that was what should happen. She seemed a good leader but he was older and had a bit more experience, he hoped she would take his advice if not then he would just quiet back down.
