Mudkit, caught off guard by the suddenness of Twilightkit's movements wasn't really ready for it, and as he made a poor attempt to catch the ball of snow, he tripped and didn't go as far as he'd meant. The snowball caught him in the chest, and he fell. An idea forming, he wriggled under the snow until all he could see was the glittering white flakes. Holding his breath, he waited, hoping Twilightkit would come over, looking for him.

The female smiled as he didn't persecute her for her talkative nature. She just tended to talk a lot when she was nervous. She normally didn't speak to many cat, and a first impression was the most important. She licked her paw and rubbed it over her ear. "Mudkit?" Twilightkit ran over in a hurry, thinking he'd killed his friend. "Mudkit are you okay? Please talk to me! I'm sorry!" he mewed, worry filling his mind. He had no idea where his stub-tailed friend was, and tilted his large head in confusion. Where did he go? The snowball wasn't so big that it would completely cover him, was it?

Mudkit heard Twilightkit above him, and he pooped his wide head out of the snow, a wide grin on his maw. “It's nice down there!” the small, heavyset tabby squeaked, coming all the way out then carefully turning around and digging. “Look! We could dig tunnels!” he added excitedly, looking back at his friend, apologetic of anything he'd done to upset the cat, if in deed he'd upset him. He hoped he hadn't.

Sparrowblaze lumbered slowly out of her den, wincing as the flakes collected in her pelt. She walked slowly towards the prey pile, feeling hungrier as she neared it. I almost wish I had been chosen for the gathering- even if I am a queen. Twigkit could've taken care of herself for a night, and it's not like I'm unfit to travel. She glanced back at the nursery where she could see her daughter, Mudkit, and Autumnkit playing. She's getting along splendid with her new friends. She sighed, selected a frog from the prey heap, and padded across the clearing to Maplefall, sitting down beside her. "How's Autumnkit doing?" she asked, taking a bite of frog.

Twilightkit jumped, startled when Mudkit popped his head out from under the snow. He then tilted his head and smiled wildly. "That's amazing!" he mewed excitedly. He then started digging his own tunnels, dipping his head under the snow and poking it back up when he needed a bit of air. "Mudkit, this is fun!" he squeaked. When he went back down, he ended up digging in a complete circle, falling into one of Mudkit's tunnels.

Maplefall gazed up at Sparrowblaze, her misty eyes warm and calm, "Lovely! She has quite a sore throat, and she keeps coughing, I'll be taking her to Kestralblaze soon. I don't want any other kits to be ill." The deep russet she-cat mewed, eyes resting on her daughter. She looked up again, "How is Twigkit? She seems to be healthy. Hopefully that stays, greencough is never welcome here, and kits are particularly susceptible." Her swirling, misty green eyes bore into Sparrowblaze, waves of warts and hospitality coming from her.

Mudkit sat down, swaying a little. It looked as if he was dizzy, when the truth was that he was just bad at staying upright. So, instead of joining their game, as Autumnkit had sort of taken over, he just sat back and watched. He usually didn't join in games with other kits anyways, so it was nothing unusual, him not playing. He enjoyed watching just as much, plus it never risked him embarrassing himself, and that was what he was afraid of; embarrassing himself. It never ended well for him, often he got teased for being smaller, weaker, and far less balanced and coordinated than other kits, and that always got to him, bothering him, although Mudkit did fairly well hiding it. The tiny tom kit shifted, still uncomfortable from when they'd been talking about their fathers, whereas he couldn't join in, seeing as he had not the slightest clue who any of his parents were. Squirrelstreak had adopted him.

Autumnkit watched as the moss ball rolled on the ground, she then looked at !edkit, who looked as though he was going to fall over, she cocked her head slightly. "Are you ok? You look as though you'll fall over." She commented with worry, she liked Mudkit, he acted like a younger brother, he was sweet, nice, charming, and welcoming, everything that her siblings hadn't been. She smiled warmly. "Can....... Can you walk?" She said this quietly, and calmly, she didn't want offend Mudkit, but she didn't want him to feel embarrassed. Maybe I can help him.

Sparrowblaze smiled, "Yes, Twigkit's doing fine. How about you yourself?" She mewed, taking another bite of prey. Her tail flicked a few times as she straightened her self. "I do hope the whole nursery doesn't come down with green cough this season." (Sorry short)
