Pineblossom heard the commotion from the two former loners and Darkwater. The she-cat shook her head and walked over, her large frame casting a shadow over Roosterpaw. She looked at the new apprentice, emerald gaze apprehensive but understanding. She turned to Darkwater, gazing coolly at the young tom. Not stern, not strict. Just a steely green gaze.

"I know you didn't mean anything by it," she mewed quietly. "But for now, it would likely be smart to let them adjust for a few days before trying to be overtly friendly,". The she-cat turned and nodded at Quillhowl, shooting a final glance at Roosterpaw, before sitting beside Darkwater to keep an eye on things.

A familiar presence stirred beside him. He could smell her... "Momma...," the tom whispered quietly, turning his head to the empty spot beside him. She was dead. He knew that now. Her presence was here, but she wasn't. Weepingpaw felt the tears flowing, and he couldn't do a thing to stop them.

Skysong. That same cat who had given her the chance to join had renamed her. Renamed them all, but he gave her a name that had no correlation towards her old one. A brief moment's respite. Now what did come as a surprise was the sheer number of cats in this Thunderclan. And hadn't he said there were three more of these clans? That sure was a lot of cats. She shook the thought off before drifting onto plans that needed to be set into motion. Like one, learning all about said clan life so she didn't look too foolish. A checklist she'd need to mentally keep track of.

Nightwhisper looked at Iciclepaw. Waiting for the young cat to find him. Nightwhispers jet black pelt blended in, his dark brown eyes and singular ginger ear the only thing making h I m noticable in the shadowed down part he was in. His son, with a matching pelt and one white ear, Emberpaw. Sat beside him, his sons Navy blue eyes watching carefully.

Mallowswarm

Spiderstar continued with more ceremonies, but they weren't for deputies or medicine cats. They were for warriors. Not as important in the grand scheme of things, but Mallowswarm knew from experience how special they were for the cats in question. She didn't understand how some needed prompting to step up to the Stormcrest, but maybe they were too amazed to be having their warrior ceremony to move immediately. Regardless, soon all seven apprentices were standing before Spiderthroat and receiving their warrior names. "Rainstreak! Sunflowerfire! Butterflybrook! Lightningstrike! Cloudedcreek! Dawnflutter! Sagelily!" Mallowswarm cheered. The amount of names she had to chant made her throat feel hoarse, but she pushed them out anyway, her voice mingling with her clanmates as the names of the new warriors echoed through camp.

Next was reassignments. As Spiderthroat told the reassigned apprentices what to do when their names were called, Mallowswarm's thoughts drifted to her own apprentice, Fawnpaw. She had looked for her so they could begin her training, but the she-cat was nowhere to be found. Missing, probably. The thought made disappointment flood her chest; she had been hoping to train her, guide her to warriorhood like Wolfhive had guided her, but she couldn't do that now. I tried. She hadn't abandoned Fawnpaw; she had tried, but the apprentice hadn't responded to her efforts. There was nothing she could do if Fawnpaw wasn't willing to work with her.

It seemed Spiderthroat was giving her another chance, though. The sound of her name drew Mallowswarm from her thoughts. Spiderlingpaw to Mallowswarm. She had been assigned another apprentice. One of Spiderthroat's kits too, if she wasn't mistaken. "Spiderlingpaw?" Mallowswarm called into the crowd, rising halfway to her paws. She didn't know what the apprentice looked like (she never really interacted with kits, and she was fairly sure that litter had been apprenticed while she was sick), but she scanned the crowd for her anyway. Hopefully Spiderlingpaw was at the meeting; it would be awkward if she never came and left Mallowswarm standing alone.

As she looked for her apprentice, Spiderstar spoke again, this time doing apprentice ceremonies. She listened absently as he gave the new apprentices their names before pairing them up with mentors. Until she heard her name. Again. She was receiving another apprentice. For a moment Mallowswarm wondered if she'd heard wrong; she had just gotten an apprentice, why would Spiderthroat trust her with two? She frowned, looking up at the leader as he continued his announcements. New Hornets- Mountaintalon, Pineblossom and Acornfall, not cats she had ever really interacted with, but she trusted Spiderstar's judgement- and new members of ThunderClan. Then the leader dismissed the meeting, and Mallowswarm turned to see an apprentice making her way towards her. Breezepaw. Her new trainee.

"Hi," Mallowswarm said once her apprentice had reached her. She paused for a few moments, trying to figure out what to say. What had Wolfhive said when she had been apprenticed under him? What had Mushroomcloud? "I, uh, I'm your mentor." She regretted the words as soon as they came out of her mouth; of course Breezepaw knew that. "Uh, is there anything you want to do first? Hunting, fighting?"

Breezepaw spotted who she thought was Mallowswarm. She stopped in front of her new mentor, "Hi!" The response came quick. The awkward beat of silence was noticeable. Did her mentor also just wake up before the meeting, or was she just shy? Or maybe she was just surprised to get two apprentices. Breezepaw's tail flicked at the thought. She was proud to get here before this Spiderlingpaw, but she wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not that she had to share a mentor.

"Acornfall showed me how to do a battle stance." She explained. It felt like something that would be important to note. "Could we start with climbing, though? If Spiderlingpaw agrees, that is."

Hickorysmoke felt the rage begin to boil in his throat, slowly blooming as his gold eye watched the three, his claws hiding out before sheathing once more. Yes they deserved it, but that didn't cause any less of the blooming hatred and jealousy to rise up in the massive tom.

Splinter- no- Lightningeyes smirked at the acceptance of joining the clan, poised an elegant, before her gaze caught roses. Both cats stopped in their tracks, eyes widening.

"SIS?!" Both molly yowled, surprised before they sprinted to eachother, pressing their noses together.

No sooner had Acornfall settled back down from chanting his kits' new names, not at all them as Sparrowkit and Lightkit didn't come forward (he'll have to have a chat with them about that), the surprises kept coming. His remaining golden amber eye stretched wide at Spiderstar's announcement. Not about the new warriors and the new -paw, he knew that was gonna happen. But...did...did he hear that correctly? Did Spiderstar say...he was going to be made a Hornet?! He shot a quick glance at Bri, then his siblings. Jaw agape. Should he...accept? He wanted to, stars he wanted to! He was certain Briarmask would have...words about it...but...

No. The brown tabby shook himself free from doubt. Chest and head lifted, Acornfall stepped forward beside Pineblossom and giving her a nod of recognition. Dipping his head to Spiderstar in respect and gratitude. It still felt...surreal. But he would continue to work hard for his clan regardless. It would sink in...eventually.

Burnedbark chanted the new names and nodded at his assignment. A lot of mentors were being doubled up...but it wasn't like training was anything new to him. He blinked in greeting as Leopardpaw bounded up to him, nodding at her before reaching down to touch noses with her. "I'm Burnedbark." He mewed simply with a flick of his ear. Expression mostly unchanged, though his gaze wasn't unkind or cold. "I look forward to working with you." His words were genuine. Maybe he could even have Dandelionpaw and Leopardpaw spar together? Combat training wasn't something he considered his specialty, but it needed to be done. And having more than one sparring experience could only be helpful...right?

Breezekit side-eyed Dreamykit. How could she look so out of it during their apprentice ceremony!? This seemed like the most important time to pay attention. The rest of her siblings - the ones who didn't disappear from camp one day that is - were. Maybe she should offer to train with Dreamy some time, make sure her head wasn't in the clouds all the time.


She was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she almost missed it. The moment where Breezekit was no more and she became Breezepaw. A better name, but one that she hoped to not wear for too long. The rossetted gray she-cat beamed up at Spiderstar. It was a shame she wasn't apprenticed under one of her aunts, but that didn't mean she couldn't ask them for training later.


Before she could go off to find her new mentor, there were two more announcements. The new cats she had nearly missed, but despite the craziness of the past moon or two, they landed in the right clan. Even proved themselves right away by saving some kits. But her dad, being made a Hornet!? "Congratulations, Da- Acornfall!" She shouldn't be calling him dad anymore, should she? Breezepaw could dwell on that later, for now, she went off to find Mallowswarm.
