Foxbite lunged towards Bramblepaw.
Bramblepaw waited until Foxbite was close enough, then dodged and used her hind leg to trip him up.
Foxbite hissed in anger, getting up, ready for Bramblepaw's next move.
Bramblepaw just stood there. "Hey, flea-pelt! Bet you can't get me!" she said, smiling, ready for him.
Foxbite snarled and jumped, aiming to squash her.
Bramblepaw tried to dodge, but Foxbite had landed on her tail.
Foxbite jumped off of Bramblepaw's tail and lunged again, this time connecting with her face.
Brambllepaw staggered backward, surprised. Then she snarled at him. "Do you know what you just got yourself into?" she growled.

Foxbite ignored her. He continued until he heard Bramblepaw's voice again, but different. "You think you're some hot-shot who can beat anyone, huh? Well, you can't, idiot. Why not try to beat me? You'll lose. And you'll wish you. Were. Never. Born," Bramblepaw said, as dark purple fire surrounded her.

Riverpaw paused as she caught the scent of another cat. That must be one of the warriors Blazestar said was out here, she thought. She then caught scent of a rabbit, upwind of her. She crouched and moved silently in that direction, placing each paw carefully.

Leafpaw scrambled up, eyes wide. "Bramblepaw?" she breathed.

When the flames dispersed, Bramblepaw looked different. The pattern of her pelt was the same, but dark purple, almost black, with slightly lighter stripes instead of light brown and slightly darker brown. She also had glowing purple eyes instead of bright hazel eyes. "It's too quiet here," The new Bramblepaw said thoughtfully. Suddenly, purple flames surrounded her and Foxbite, making a ring. "We're dueling, aren't we? Let's make it interesting," she said. Suddenly, music came from nowhere.
