He grinned sharply, increasing his speed into a sprint. He felt the wind rush through his fur, felt the blood rushing in his ears as he swerved and soon met the she-cat's pace. "We'll see who's loosing soon," he replied teasingly, his stride long and his movements smooth. He felt the tension from the earlier conversation almost melt off. The awkward energy from the talk had soon evaporated into a friendly competitive aura.

"Heheh~ Don't get ahead of yourself".She laughed smoothly as she picked up her pace, a large smile forming on her features, the wind ruffled her golden tabby pelt as her blue eyes gleamed happily.

Tigerslash smirked victoriously, his paws thudding against the earth, scattering dead leaves as he raced by. He noticed the smile on her face and realized that he'd almost forgotten their earlier conversation. His fur was sticking up in several directions, his ears back as he continued forward.

Tigerslash slowed to a leisurely pace, his chest heaving as he panted slightly. The tabby padded towards the golden furred she-cat, sitting beside her with his tail sweeping over his paws. "I haven't done anything like that in awhile," he admitted with a large grin, a bright gleam of exhilaration in his eyes.

Thymepaw purred in excitement.
"I hope I do a good job!" she chirped. She had never really done hunting, except for a failed hunting mouse escapade when she was a kit. But she would make Tansyjaw proud!

Thymepaw's gray ears swiveled as she tasted the air, looking for another mouse to stalk and hopefully kill.
There! She spotted it a little ways away, and she instinctively locked up, one paw lifted daintily off the ground.
Inch by inch, paw by paw, she crept up on the mouse, keeping as still and silent as she could.
She crouched, bones humming with excitement.
1,2,3!
She bunched her muscles and sprung, landing nearly on top of the mouse.It tried to escape, yet she stretched one splayed paw and slapped it down on top of the mouse, cutting off the tiny squeal with a quick bite.
"I-I did it, Tansyjaw! I did it.. pretty much how you showed me! Did I do well?" Thymepaw asked.

Thymepaw loved spending time in the nursery. Since she wasn't that far from the elder kits, she got along with most of them perfectly. She wanted some of her own someday. When she was a warrior and had a mate.
