"Oak trees, grass, some scent trails from when the dawn patrols set off earlier, birds, and mice," Lionpaw replied easily. The golden tom prided himself on his hunting and tracking abilities. Unlike clan cats, who only learned survival skills after six moons, the ex-loner had been fending for himself since he could effectively walk. He grew from necessity. "The birds are songbirds. There are a few of them in the trees up ahead, and there's a mouse I think somewhere to the left."

Please do not bump unless it has been over a week.
(I have a very good memory, I promise.)
Have a wonderful day!
Moonbird nodded to Ivorypaw's words, taking them in and flicking her tail. "Well the hunting crouch takes a little to get used to, but once you've got it then hunting becomes pretty easy from there." She meowed, before turning her attention towards Soaringpaw. The apprentice was being awfully quiet, Moonbird hoped she wasn't... mad or anything. Maybe she was just quiet. That was how Moonbird had been. But she'd ask anyways. "Do you know anything about hunting Soaringpaw? Even just some things you've heard from the older apprentices?"
Cormorantpaw happily followed Buckbranch into the territory, nearly bouncing on his paws.
“Where do ya wanna go, Buckbranch? I’m gonna catch some much prey that Duskstar’a gonna make me a warrior right away!”
The young tom was in a good mood today and he wanted Buckbranch to feel as pepped up as him. Grinning slyly, he bumped the tom with his head and then let him get a few pawsteps ahead before dropping into a crouch, wiggling his haunches excitedly, and pouncing at his tail.

Jeez, where did Cormorantpaw get all of his energy from? Buckbranch had woken up ages ago and he was still exhausted. It was as if his apprentice was a never-ending siphon of pure excitement.
Normally he would laugh at Cormorantpaw's antics, but today he felt like they really needed to focus. He frowned as the black and grey Tom headbutted him, and spun around to face him before his tail could be attacked too. A frown creased his features. "Cormorantpaw, we're going to have to focus on this," he said sternly. "Softbriar's right. The Clan needs prey, and lots of it. And since she's in charge while Duskstar is out doing whatever she thinks is more important than taking care of ThunderClan, then we REALLY have to make sure this gets done." He tipped his muzzle in the direction of the RiverClan border. "We're going to Smallpines to hunt. It's where Softbriar directed us to go. Come on." He turned around and headed off again.

Cormorantpaw frowned. Geez, why was Buckbranch so grumpy today? The young tom trudged after his mentor toward the border, feeling a weird mix of guilt for making Buckbranch irritated and a feeling he’d never felt toward the tortoiseshell tom before- annoyance. Cormorantpaw felt he’d been unfairly snapped at, but he usually would’ve wondered what he’d did to annoy the elder tom or merely forgiven him. Now, he felt salty- like he wanted to mess things up just to get back at Buckbranch for being a grump. He continued to stew as they walked, wondering where this new feeling had come from.

Pebblefur bounded in to the forest, glancing back ever once-in-a-while to make sure Thrushfeather was keeping up. @aleka!
Thrushfeather kept up with Pebblefur while remaining not that far away from her. He had to admit, stretching his legs felt extremely nice. He tried to quietly run. He didn't want to scare all of the prey away. "Just tell me when you want to stop in an area to hunt." He huffed breathlessly as he sped up to be beside the flank of the molly. He opened his maw to inhale the scents of the forest around him. He could smell rodents like mice and shrews. He could imagine that there must be a rabbit or squirrel somewhere.
Deerpetal was impressed at what he could do. He scented things way before she even did. "Your a very good tracker. I bet your mentors proud.", she praised. The deer looking warrior scented the air and scented the mouse. It was exactly where he thought it was. "I see the mouse.", Deerpetal meowed. She felt her mouth begin to water at the sight of it. Her clan would really appreciate it.

On a really good stride on here and Barleypaw is really close to getting her post counts finished for her training. If there is anyone who needs a cat to help with anything feel free to VM or pm. I want her to be more active along her clanmates.

She skidded to a stop. "This seems like a nice place, what do you think?" There was a beech tree in the area.

Have a lovely rp! Cat Tracker!
Bouncesnarl stepped back and made sure. "Yes that's perfect. Now let me see your stalk.", he meowed. Once she got the hang of everything they could begin hunting for real after he tested her nose.
Ivypaw did as instructed, moving forward carefully, and trying to be slow at the same time; she made sure to keep her paws close in the process, as well as her tail.
Fishfin padded into the cave, and sat down to wait for his apprentice. Catching his breath after the run, he looked around. Curling his tail around his paws, he sat down to wait. @Lynxpaw
