It was time, the day he had decided to go through that opening and out in the garden his owners had made for him. It had been a good couple of weeks since they'd last moved here from the sheltered farm he had lived at for his whole life. He had found many excuses to stay inside and just walk around in the rather comfortable apartment. It was good inside, safe, with many rooms he could stay in. There was the night pillow room, the feeding place, the warm afternoon room, and of course the water room where his owners went once in a while and made that odd buzzing sound. There was also another room, but that place was forbidden, only the tom owner got to do in there, sitting for over half the day, and Kasper could hear small clicking sounds coming from here.

But he had promised himself this was the day he'd finally go outside, in that garden. With a deep breath, he rose up from his bed, and padded out to the back entrance to the house. "Can't run from it now" he mumbled and pushed through the odd little door. Without realizing it he had squeezed his light green eyes shut, but they blocked open when he could feel the weak scent of plants. The flowers that grew there must have died for the winter, but beautiful trees stretched up towards the sky, even a few bush-like trees making up a wall, they were a dark green and seemed not to die like other plants. Carefully he jumped up on a little bench, brushing off the snow that had gathered there, and was about to sit down and enjoy the cold, but still crisp air, when he took notice of a gate that had been partly out of his sight before. After hesitation for a heartbeat before jumping down and moving towards the gate. It was closed, rusted in place after months of rain, but with a little effort, he managed to climb up and finally gaze out over the street. "Greetings neighborhood" he called, in a rather low voice, but still. Would anyone respond?

Step step hop! Step step hop! Watch out everyone Melody is hop stepping her way through twoleg place today, keep your bowl hidden little kitty shes looking for a meal!


Yes today was a grand day to be Melody in her eyes the large well padded molly sauntering her way through the fences and over walls keep eyes open for a open cat flap to take advantage of. The molly was a life long loner (well maybe not life long... but that was for her to know and others to guess) and her secret to staying festivly plump in the cold winter months? Well a little bit of thievery you see~ It was simple. Melody had long sense noticed that twolegs kept their kittypets well fed even when they had a bit of chunk already (not that she was judging! Melodys natural frame was chubby and she saw no shame in it) so they could oft miss a meal she couldnt with the rarity of prey in the winter and sometimes their twolegs would just refill their bowl if she ate it all! So would she on occasion bully some softie kittypet out of their meals for a bite to eat? Yes. But she always asked first and wasnt mean about it! It was just... well a lady had to eat didnt she?


She had already fed today though so if it came down to a fight she rather didnt care about the food, in fact she was rather more interested in the soft looking branch running along alongside the roof she was on. Hmm there was another cat down below it..... Cannonball time! With a loud whoop and a leap the large tabby threw herself off the roof and onto the branch, thick curled claws latching onto the branch sticking the landing. The water from the rains that still clung to the branch? Well that not so much. It was a verifyable pour from the leaves the water dumping down like a sudden shower close to (and hopefully on) the other cat as Melody erupted into a loud snorting laugh giggling happily to herself over her spot of mishif.


"Hehehehe sorry for the spot of wet down there! I couldnt resist~ Hello from the neighborhood to you my fellow! And a special hullo from Melody! Whats your name then?"
