Frost nearly jumped out of his pelt when he heard a squeaky voice pipe up behind him. He silently cursed himself for being sloppy enough to neglect his surroundings. Another cat could’ve gotten the jump on him and ripped his pelt off.

He spun around to face whoever was greeting him. He saw, to his surprise, a tiny kit looking back at him. She looked rather frail, striking pity in him. Her appearance reminded him of his own back in the days when he was first a loner in this wretched Twolegplace.

“Hello,” he responded. His stature softened as he accepted that there wasn’t any danger. This kit looked like she could barely muster the strength to harm a mouse, let alone Frost. He was about to ask if this tiny kit lived here, but he figured not. If they did, their mother would be in view. He looked around, seeing no other cats. “What’s your name?”

She flinched when the cat suddenly started to move, and when it turned to face her she blinked, her neck fur standing on end. She tilted her head softly to the right as the cat calmed. "I am Hawkkit!" She exclaimed, surveying the cat up and down. "And who might you be?" She asked, shaking out her sticky pelt. Maybe this cat can help me with food... She thought, the feeling of her unkempt pelt getting to her. But! That would be improper. Befriend first, ask later. She nodded to herself, the emptiness of her belly being pushed aside as she focused her attention to the possibility of a new friend.

"Yes please I haven't eaten in a couple of days." "I am not very good at hunting." Scout sits down excited to eat for the first time in a while.

Frost blinked in surprise. Hawkkit? What a strange name. What mother would give their child a name that would forever remind them that they were once a helpless kitten?

He hoped his internal reaction didn’t show on his face. This kit might not even be aware how strange her name was. He didn’t want to be the one to tell her. Instead, he said, “My name’s Frost.” After a moment, he asked, “Are you all on your own, Hawkkit?” The name sort of stuck in his throat.

"Wonderfull." she purred then she saw two brown mice scurry across the floor and she pounced on them and killed them

"Let's see... I was taken to the cutter a few days ago, but i managed to escape. I was once a housecat, but then i realized the freedom of living in the wild." Loki mewed, taking the mouse.
