Leopardpaw

Leopardpaw could hear the raindrops start to smack the covering tree leaves above. At Sheepgrowl's call, Leopardpaw started heading towards the center of the clearing. Too bad the training camp has ended so soon, but Leopardpaw was grateful for the lesson from Longmoor! Hearing his name, he looked over to see his mentor walking in the direction of camp. The small tom padded over, his tail in the air, proud of his newfound knowledge. "Hi Asterblink! I learned some basic hunting! I'm hoping we don't get too wet out here, I could use my dry den after this."

featherpelt groaned at the rain, his heavy coat was not something he enjoyed getting sopping wet with,, still, he gathered all the apprentices he could find and guided them toward camp

Longmoor--She/Her

Longmoor decided not to leave her post, waiting patiently for the apprentice's to make their way back to the clearing. Leopardpaw was first, and she greeted him with an expectant gaze. "Birds can be quite tough, I'm sure your crouch was great if you managed to sneak up on one though."

Smallpaw wasn't far behind, and Longmoor perked up once again, quick to respond. "A wonderful catch, Smallpaw." She didn't mind if it was scrawny, any prey was good prey in her eyes.

Lightningpaw entered next, "No luck?" she hummed, though the answer went without question. "You're a quick learner, Lightningpaw, I'm sure you'll be hunting as well as you heal one day." Longmoor didn't think the upbeat apprentice needed any words of encouragement, but it didn't hurt to say them anyway.

Last but no least, Longmoor watched as Fogpaw dragged back her catch, head tilting with keen interest. "Rabbits are very tiring," She agreed. "You've done very well." Her eyes flickered over the apprentice, checking for any injuries; Longmoor practically lived on hares, so she knew firsthand how nasty their kicks could be. Fogpaw looked just fine though, so she didn't stare much longer than a few moments.

There wasn't much else to do now, so Longmoor sat comfortably for a while before a light drizzle started. It was bearable, and she was able to scoot under the trees a bit more to get some shelter. Unfortunately, the storm picked up fast, and she stood quickly at Sheepgrowl's call. Longmoor ensured the apprentices near her made their way out first, only after that did she follow suit, cringing whenever her paws sank into a patch of mud. Despite the storm, she was in a good mood, and that showed in the way her tail waved high behind her.

Well, the weather had apparently called a premature end to the learning. Deadmoon wasn't a fan of wet fur and so cast only a quick glance around the area in which they had been learning, before hustling back towards camp.
