(AGREED!! whenever I have sleepovers, I sleep under my friend's bed, reason one, to freak them out, reason two, it's so damn comfortable, reason three, it's dark and i love the dark)

Simon pats her head. "Cool, then I guess I'll take the bed," he says, stifling a yawn. "I'll be upstairs if you need me!"

With that, he turns off the light and flies up the ladder. "G'night!" he calls from the second floor.

The next morning, Simon is up before the sun rises. Looking at his clock, he sees that it's nearly four in the morning. He drifts downstairs in the clothes he slept in, which are a red tank top, grey flannel pajama pants, and black-and-red striped fluffy socks. Not bothering to even run his pale fingers through his hair, he sits in the air above the couch.

He picks up his bass but doesn't plug it into the amp - he doesn't want to wake Aydan. So, he simply plucks the strings and whisper-sings the song he's working on.
