cobwebpaw breathed out an audible sigh of relief when darkwind's eyes blinked squintily open. ' thank stars you're awake, darkwind! ' she nimbly padded over to him, then bent down to examine his paw. ' i think it's stopped bleeding enough for cobwebs, now. what happened to it? '

cobwebpaw asked this question while trotting over and grabbing some cobwebs to bring over to the injured cat. her senses locked in on the quiet moan of pain darkwind let out as she carefully placed the swathe of cobwebs into his open wound. ' i know it hurts, but it's gonna feel better soon. promise. '

"We were racing yesterday when my paw snagged on a root. Then Teardrop tripped over me. My paw felt torn." He said hoping to not show the embarrassment in his eyes.

brushing up to cobwebpaw she examined the warriors paw, the wound itself didnt look horrible but judging by the amount of pain they seemed to be in and the retelling of what happened it must be more than just a wound on the outside.
"you think it could be something internal?" she asked cobwebpaw, tone hushed as to not unnecessarily alert the warrior.

For Goldfish, it was over. The fire had drained from her
energetic golden eyes and her paws felt like stones, too heavy to
properly walk. There was nothing left for her here. Nobody would
be able to help her. Her best friend was gone. If she was dead, it
would've been better, but she was exiled. Shellwhisker, her first friend
since becoming a warrior, was exiled for assisting exiles. Goldfish's
gaze was bleak, blood drained from her face, all hope washed away.
Loyal Shellwhisker did something terrible. How could she betray the
Clan? Her? Goldfish felt so alone in the world. Didn't anyone care? She
knew Shellie probably deserved what she got, but-- Goldfish just couldn't
see any joy in what she used to. She felt... empty inside. Like everything had left her, and she was alone. That was why she'd come here, for some help.
She didn't know how, but she knew Mink and Cobs were here, and a cat
she'd partially befriended, Jayfrost. But the loss had made her bitter
inside, and she felt betrayed. Her shoulder didn't hurt nearly as much
as this. This pain could never go away.
