Redpool nodded. “Why don't we go for a walk then?” he asked, looking her over than gently he drew his tongue over his mate's ears, trying his best to comfort her a little bit. He didn't want to see his mate laying in camp unable to sleep, and he thought that a walk might help.

After a moment she would let out a small purr as she stood and stretched. "That sounds like a wonderful idea." She looked at him with a warm gaze.

Re: ShadowClan Apprentices' Den
@ Shinyrobin
"Yep."
That alongside a nod told the tabby she had indeed been correct. Acornpaw. He had become an apprentice a few moons after her and her brother and usually she had always been so busy she didn't really get to talk or hang out with the other apprentices. Well until her mentor decided to up and disappear on her. So now she mostly tagged along with her sibling or other apprentices for training.
"You can have the rest of the mouse, if you want it. If not im sure some cat will steal it away."
She hadn't really been to hungry as her mind was mostly thinking back to her lack of training until his words registered in her ears. Even then she was about to politely decline until her own stomach growled. How embarrassing. "Really? Thanks." She smiled shyly as she leaned in to take a bite, chew, and swallow. Even now she could still taste the flavor of the kill "Whoever caught this should win a prize or something its delicious." She said cheerfully before allowing herself another bite.

Re: ShadowClan Apprentices' Den
@ Whisperingheart
Acornpaw smiled, watching her eat. "You're welcome. Anyways, I was thinking of going out to train or hunt for a bit, maybe just take a walk. My mentor told me to take a day off, and now I have no idea what to do. I've always spent the days training and hunting and today just feels like the same thing, minus my mentor." He said, standing up.
"Maybe your brother could come along as well. Oatpaw...?" He asked, cooking his head. "I don't think he's with those apprentices, is he?" He asked, looking at Whisperingpaw. He then realized she might not know what he was talking about, but didn't say anything. If she didn't know about them, she would ask.

Light blue eyes widened. Whiskers twitched in worry, retracting against marbled fur. Why did Snakesnap have to go ahead and say that? He always ruined everything. 'You're so bad at everything, Snake! Why do you have to be so much like your father?' His mother's words repeated in his head, never forgotten, always waiting in the back of his mind for the opportunity to strike. Why did he have to be so much like him? His father ruined everything, caused the worst problems, and he never once attempted to fix them. Sounded like Snakesnap.
...but, that wasn't completely true, was it? There he was, watching Nightleap break down in front of him, and he felt terrible. His father never felt anything. He never repaired anything. But for once, Snakesnap could go right where he had gone wrong. "Nightleap, wait—" he started, leaping to his paws and sliding his claws out of his sheaths. Fueled with resentment towards his father and a blossoming feeling of... something... in his chest, he began to pad after his friend. He wouldn't let her suffer in silence. Not again. The snow nestled its way under his claws and made him shiver, but he kept going, determined to console her. She needed to get it out of her system.
"It's not your fault," he whispered, eyes narrowed in resolution.
If Snakesnap were to be completely honest with himself, he would have realized by now that he acted much differently with Nightleap than he did with his other clanmates. She's just special, he decided, but he knew in his heart that that wasn't the whole of it.

(OMG I could have sworn I replied to this :/ )
Nightleap stopped in attempts to hear her friend out. Maybe he could help her. "I was only a few tail-lengths away... I could have helped her..." Her voice cracked and the normally calm and collected she-cat cursed under her breath to herself. She was so weak right now and she hated it. Right in front of everyone in the clearing too. How could she be so weak? She couldn't save Wolfpaw and now she was too grief-stricken to do anything. Was she mouse-brained? "Have you lost an apprentice to a battle when you were close enough to save her?" she asked harshly. She immediately regretted it. While she didn't know the answer, she didn't want Snakesnap to be upset with her. Not when she needed him the most. "I'm sorry... I don't know what's come over me..." she said, dipping her head to the older tom.

Redpool purred too as he climbed to his paws, his tall, lean frame a bit unlike the stocky, muscular one of most ShadowClan cats, but he didn't really care. In fact, he was proud it. “Let's go!” the tan and reddish brown tabby announced, already slipping towards the entrance.

Harethorn gave her long furred body a good shake before trotting after her mate, amusement in her eyes before her gaze went cold as an apprentice bumped into her. "Watch what you're doing!" She snapped at the smaller cat, hissing slightly as she joined her mate again. just another example of how special these two were.

Re: ShadowClan Clearing
Truth be told, the white feline was surprised at her mentor's comment. Praise was rare -- at least, praise like that. She had been fine with what he had said before, it was more then enough for her! As long as she passed. She would be a warrior before long, a warrior strong enough to take care of herself. Gone would be the training times and hard work... though she knew being a warrior wasn't going to be glamorous either. But, she wouldn't have to worry about having Rusticash coming to get her to train all the time. Soon she would be doing that to her own apprentice. And, she would use the same sorts of methods as he had used for her. They were perfect. Absolutely perfect. Anyone might have thought she was crushing on him with the way she thought, but of course this wasn't so. For one thing; the tom was much too old for her. And, for another, she wasn't into the whole idea of crushing on someone. It seemed all too easy for someone to get hurt.
And by someone, she meant herself. No one else she knew seemed to have the problem of getting hurt so easily when it came to love. But Clawpaw did. Upon reaching the fresh kill pile, the white apprentice dropped her prey on top of it. The three pieces of prey were quite plump, and she could imagine they would feed the Clan for at least a short while. Perhaps longer then she was thinking, that would be nice. A smile spread over her maw at the thought of being able to feed the Clan for moons, and she purred, her tail twitching eagerly as she did so. Yawning, she wondered if Rusticash had wanted her to head to the training cave right away, or if he had something in mind. Go or wait? Well... just a short rest couldn't do much harm. She thought, before stopping and realizing that he probably wouldn't appreciate her being lazy at the moment. Besides! Once this was over it was over, and then she could rest all she wanted until her ceremony. Right?
Well-- that wasn't necessarily true, obviously there would be more work to be done, but she would get a break. Darting over towards the training cave, Clawpaw obediantly sat outside it. Though she was partly hidden to the side by the cave wall. Now all that was left to do was wait for the tom to return... and do whatever he told her to, then her assessment would be complete. Right? She thought so... at least she could hope.
Surely he wouldn't hold her back.

Thankful for his friendly words, Cougarsnow managed to smile a little more widely then before. It was still that odd, half-expression... but friendly all the same. Like she wanted to smile, and was being held back by some strong force. Some dangerous force. At his suggestion, her expression changed to one of amazement. He was really interested in that? No one ever was. The night sky was 'boring...' but in Cougarsnow's opinion, it was the most beautiful and fascinating place in the Clans. Silverpelt was always sparkling so brightly she felt like she could reach up and touch it. "R-really? You would want to do that..." her voice trailed off, but her thoughts continued. With me? Of all the cats in ShadowClan-- in all the Clans, really, though disloyalty wasn't looked upon with a smiling face-- why her? Didn't he have other friends? Of course. Anyone who can talk like that must. In her opinion, if you were able to speak well and eloquently, you would have lots of friends. Perhaps that was the reason she didn't; that and her clumsiness. For another moment she just stared at him in astonishment before she broke out of her daydream. "O-of course I would love to, it's just, I mean... n-no one ever... you're the first... it's not... sorry." That was how she seemed to end a lot of sentences, with the word 'sorry.' She was always sorry. Always. But, all her apologies didn't do much good. She was still unpopular, and felt very-- very-- unloved.
|
Jaguarclaw couldn't stop the purr of amusement that escaped his body as she reacted towards his suggestion. He didn't really see it coming, but he didn't mind it too much. As he awaited her to finish speaking, he managed to cut off the purring before it became rude. "Noo.. I couldn't be the first! You're too sweet to have not been asked beforehand!" he exclaimed in an almost overly dramatic fashion. Afterwards, he waited a little longer, thinking it over before continuing on with his statement. "You don't have to apologize to me, I promise you only have to apologize if you manage to make a rare occurrence happen. If you manage to make me upset, but I promise that's the hardest thing you'll ever do," he winked at her. It was almost a challenge, but not in a legitimate fashion. "So when, where, and with me?" he asked. It was like he was asking the she-cat on a date.

Re: ShadowClan Leader's Den
{ @Jingle }
Whitekit padded into the leader's den, a smile on his maw as he looked for his mother. Ever since she told him she had her own den, he tried to get his way into it and he finally had. Purring, he looked around, his bi-coloured eyes alight with a friendly sparkle.
"Hey, Mom?" he called, looking around. He padded in further and looked around. "This place is really cool!" he whispered to himself, his eyes wide with an excited, amazed look.
