[please someone get the reference] she sounded sad, let alone shocked. This news was heartbreaking, as the tom had been one of her best friends. Glancing around, the apprentice, rested her body onto the ground and emitted a loud yowl of mourning.

Lizardfang frowned. Although the tom was annoying, he still had a special place in her heart, just like all her other Clanmates. She noticed something in particular though. That slash was oddly familiar. Suddenly, icy fear swam through her veins. Those were claw marks! "A-am I crazy or.." she trailed off. The she-cat stared at the slash.

A lump rose in her throat. "Someone.. murdered Hamilton," she announced softly, her voice shaking with fear and emotion. Her fur bristled as she cast a wary glance at her fellow clanmates. But why? she wondered.
