Frostpaw sighed now hanging her head a bit with her ears back , 'it's ok to be embarrassed ' yeah right she never liked being embarrassed or being humiliated it just left that horrible feeling in her stomach and others will not forget what happened if someone decided to humiliate you , it's like they always have to be up in your business with that stuff. Gingersight tilted her head with a hum "the wolf chasers apprentice huh? I think I've seen you two hang around each other when you were little, well i think . Mind telling me about that?" gingersight asked a little more interested in this , Frostpaw sighed and sat down as well "were best friends . Which is great because I was foxdung before meeting her.... We met when I was 4 moons... She was the same age which is great as well. She can be stubborn as a bear! But ...She means well." she answered with a smile and giggled at some of the memories that ran through her mind , "c'mon frostkit! your as slow as a slug!" Mistykit meowed as she was ahead of frostkit who was a tail length behind her panting "i..I'm t-trying ! A-and how do you know!? You've never seen a slug before !" frostkit pantted her tiny paws looked like they could trip over themselves any second , this made mistykit laugh "maybe I have maybe I haven't .now seriously cmon, you can't be this slow all the time! If you are how do you expect to outrun the wolves and save your pelt?" mistykit meowed now looking back at her friend who had her tongue out like a dog panting " s-shut...u-up....mousebrain.... " she wheezed . Frostpaw chuckled as her eyes shined ,now remembering where she was she cleared her throat and looked at gingersight who was just as calm as ever and not seeming to mind her space out this time "kithood friends huh? How sweet. And no one is foxdung! Well...I'll take that back...shadowfuzz is foxdung. Other than
that no one else,especially not you ,got it? " the warrior asked in making Frostpaw nod in response with a wide smile . " but you need to focus on work as well . C'mon ... Let's take this back to camp and we will try again " Gingersight said as she stood up ,she bent down and grabbed the bird now walking past Frostpaw and heading towards camp.
The white and silver striped she cat followed her mentor happily ,even though she didn't do much she was getting tired already ,but they weren't heading back to camp for breaks ,they were heading back so they wouldn't end up holding too much prey. The young feline stopped however once she heard a twig snap making her flick her ears, this made her fall behind a few mouse lengths though but she didn't need to worry at the moment since she could catch up easily . A fowl smell hit her nose causing her to cringe and gag what could smell that horrible ? Oh gross! That's gonna be stuck in my nose for a few moons . she decided to stay where she was for a while longer and try to study that smell as she took a big wif of it , c'mon c'mon ! I don't have all day, what are you? Why do you smell so bad? she was so lost in thought that she didn't hear her mentor call her name "Frostpaw c'mon . " Gingersight shouted since she was two Fox lengths away this time getting rather impatient I swear this apprentice will be the end of me she thought with a sigh.
A snarl hit gingersights ears making her wide eyed and drop the cardinal in her mouth ,her fur bristled as she turned around to the right only to be met with a brown wolf lunging at her and tackle her without giving her a second to react . Her mentor let out a yell making frostpaw snap out of it and be wide eyed herself ,her mouth dropped open when she saw the wolf bite on gingersights shoulder making the older she cat yowl in pain . This made Frostpaw panic and fold her ears back " GINGERSIGHT! " Frotpaw yelled with fear clear in her tone ,the brown wolf heard the young felines voice making it turn it's head at her , hunger could be seen in the wolfs eyes , and it seemed it thought that Frostpaw would make for a perfect appetizer since it turned around completely and lunged at the 7 moon old feline with blood dripping from its mouth.
Frostpaw closed her eyes and averted her gaze at the wolf ,only for that horrible beast and the whole scene to rewind to where she was sitting in front of her mentor and talking about Mistypaw. "kithood friends huh? How sweet. And no one is foxdung! Well...I'll take that back...shadowfuzz is foxdung. Other than that no one else,especially not you ,got it?" Gingersight repeated making Frostpaw snap her eyes open and was shocked now looking like she's seen a ghost how in starclans name did that happen!? What is going on?
This made Gingersight looked worried when she saw her apprentices expression "Frostpaw you ok?" she asked .
