The forest was big, and Bee was small.
The forest was smart, and Bee was... less than intelligent.
The forest knew where everything was, and Bee did not.

Bee was lost.

He'd wandered away from his Twoleg home three days ago, and now he was starving. He'd tried to hunt, but he'd had no success and the stupid bell around his neck kept making noise and scaring off any potential meals he happened across. At least he'd managed to find water, but he was tired and dirty and just wanted out of the stupid woods before something ate him or worse.
He didn't know when he had stated running, but he was running, the bell ringing wildly under his chin as he narrowly avoided obstacles that the forest sprung in front of him. It was unlikely anyone would hear him out here, but if he could just try once more... He drew in a breath and howled, "Somebody help me! I'm going to die!"

Rook's ears perked up as he heard someone running through the undergrowth nearby. They certainly weren't making an effort to be quiet, the bell of a kittypet collar jingling wildly as they ran. The question to ask would be why a kittypet would be on its own in the outskirts. Perhaps that was a question he could get an answer to soon. Trotting in the direction of the noise, Rook picked up the pace only slightly at the call for help. These kittypets blew everything out of proportion, frankly. Mountains out of mole hills.

"I sincerely doubt that, my friend," he called back, a hint of amusement in his tone,"Though in the case that your claim is true, perhaps I can be of assistance."
