Molly could heard laughter even through the rushing of the water, and she smiled a bit too. Molly opened her maw to reply that she was fine, but instead, she got a mouthful of water. Shocked, she lay there, stunned, before attempting to get up. Alright, alright, this was funny and all, but the water was cold and she didn't like the feeling of cold. Molly pushed her paws underneath her, trying to gain leverage to rise up, but she only succeeded in rolling more of herself into the shallow body of water, lodging one of her paws between two stones on the process. Now she was lying belly up.

Cold...That was all Molly could think of. Her fur was thick, unnaturally so, which made it so that Molly never really experienced the chill of leaf-bare. She was glad for that. Because if she ever experienced this biting, bone-reaching cold again, she didn't know if she'd survive. Molly flailed her unstuck paws as best she could, but she couldn't seem to roll herself over and get up. The cold somehow got colder, if that was possible. Her head was fully submerged, she couldn't see or hear anything besides mud stirred up in the water from her thrashing or the occasional splashing if she got her head at an angle in which her ears were above the surface.

But the worst thing was that Molly was slowly losing her air. She didn't have to be a genius to know that if she lost all her air, she'd die. "Help!" Molly tried to yowl, but her words were muffled in the water. Molly redoubled her efforts. She unsheathed her claws as a last-ditch attempt to grab something that would gain enough leverage for her to push herself to her paws. But her claws only caught on weeds and that stupid fish that had caused all of this. Molly lashed out at the slimy fish with anger, which hurled it...somewhere. She didn't know, and didn't care, because darkness was sleeping into her corners of her vision. Molly stopped struggling. She didn't have the energy.

Gater kept laughing until he heard Swifty say "Are you alright?" That is when he looked up, to see that Molly wasn't getting back up. He stopped laughing and began to be concerned. He began to walk over, he noticed she had been underwater for a while so he dipped his paw in the water and nudged her "Hey, you good?" She didn't answer, that's when he got worried. He waded in himself and grabbed her scruff trying to pull her out. He noticed she was hooked on weeds and he bit through them, then taking her on his back, he swam to shore. He shooed Swifty away from the nest before placing Molly on it. He didn't exactly know what to do. So he simply began licking her fur, hoping to wake her.
