Sty had nearly lost their beanie once the bully left, quickly pulling it back on tightly before anyone could see their hair. “th-thanks- i really gotta g-go now-“ they went and tried to leave, expecting to be stopped.

Sty nodded quickly before disappearing down the block. they were speed-walking down a sidewalk before getting stopped by another friend. Jeanie.
”hey, you okay? i saw you didn’t come to talk to anyone today. did something happen?”
”no i’m fine i just woke up on the wrong side of the bed- i’m gonna go home now.” Sty went to take a step again but was stopped again, trying to stay calm.
”do you wanna talk about it?”
”n-no i d-“
”its okay to talk about things, Sty-“
Sty broke easily under the pressure and broke their calmness. “NO! i’m fine, just leave me alone!” they got a glance at themself, specifically a paw, before immediately running off, trying not to cry.
Jeanie gasped and watched them leave for a second before chasing them. she also knew they didn’t mean what they’d just said. “w-wait-! Sty, come back!”
