Character of the Month (March 2019)

Character of the Month is designed to feature characters who deserve recognition.

Please ensure you have read this thread thoroughly, as posts that do not coincide with the provided information will be deleted.

In an attempt to prevent users from only voting selectively, the system in which OTMs are decided has changed. You may suggest a character, however, the character you nominate can not be suggested by another user. For example, if you suggest "Blackstrike", no one else can nominate that character for the remainder of the month's nomination period.

At the end of the month, users can vote on the nominated characters and the winner will be determined by who has the most.

Nominations will run from March 1st to March 24th. On March 25th, users can vote on the nomination they like the best.
Please note this is a test run, and we may revert to the 'nominations only' method if it's apparent users are brigade voting (e.g. voting for a character that has a lot of votes for only that reason.)

Things to keep in mind before nominating a character:

• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated.
  
  
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
  
  
• Characters used to violate a roleplay rule cannot win an OTM for the month they broke the guideline.
  
  
• Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed.
  
  
• Be thorough in your evaluation of the relationship. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool") will result in your nomination being discarded.
  
  
• You may only nominate once, however you may change your nomination at any time provided nominations are still open. Keep in mind you can not change your suggestion to a character that was nominated by someone else.
  
  
• You are only allotted one vote due to the poll system, so please use it wisely.
  
  
• Previous COTMs can not be nominated. Former winners are:

Reason for nominating this character: Moonpaw is just such a sweet, interesting character to rp with! Gem somehow makes her strong and brave while also struggling with anxiety. I always look forward to rping with Moonpaw because she's just such a deep character, with a very realistic personality and realistic struggles. Moonpaw is one of those characters that you just can't wait to see where they go!

Spirit is just an overall serious character in my opinion. She's seen as strong, and untrusting of strangers, and most can see why. She used to be in the shaded (a group of evil cats) and she was supposed to be the 2nd leader. She changed her name, original being Aziria. This molly is really kind-hearted towards her friends, and I would love to see where she goes in life <3

Reason for nominating this character: he's had a hard past, and he's going through so much, yet he's kind and caring, and he manages to stay confident and strong despite what he is going through. He's brave, and he is quite determined. He can be a little aggressive at times, but he always means well. He's a bit reckless, but he always learns his lesson. He doesn't let his problems and dilemmas get him down; he always picks himself back up. Although he sometimes worries about what others think of him, he manages to get over it and do what he wants, regardless of opinions of others.

Reason for nominating this character: Dawnpaw is a very complex cat. She was born to two cats who absolutely despised her. Her father and mother completely ignore her and pretend she doesn't exist. Because of this fact, she doesn't know what love is and is being trained in the dark forest because of how much she despises her parents. She is friends with Snowpaw, Bellpaw, and Eaglepaw, and also Skypaw and Thunderpaw. She is an amazing character to roleplay with and this is why I am nominating her for COTM!

The reason I nominate Ringpaw for character of the month is that she is so naturally roleplayed as if they are actually the cat, and not like someone's jerking Ring around on marionette strings. She's so sweet and kind, and mentally strong if she can deal day in day out with Shinefang.
