Derpple and Ashie and I are looking for someone to fill in the role of Onyxkit. All that has been decided for the kit is the name. The roleplayer of the kit had to back out due to personal reasons, so we need someone for the role! Although the name is chosen, nothing else is. So as a roleplayer you get to create the cat's looks, personality and their warrior name. Their physical gender is male, though that is up to the roleplayer if the cat decides to change that later down the road. When making your application please be aware of who the parents are and try to have your cat resemble both parents in some aspect. Also the cat should have certain personality characteristics that reflect either of the parents, though their personality does not have to entirely reflect the parents. The mother is Blazingnight and the father is Burdockpool.

Now about the situation of the kits. Obviously their mother is already dead, though their father has taken over caring for them. They are 5 moons and should be made apprentices shortly. Due to the EE time jump they haven't been roleplayed much together, nor much with their parents so you haven't missed out on much. Keep in mind we are looking for someone with time and dedication to this roleplay!

Also No bellyaching, or complaining, for example: I will never get this. That will result in your application being denied. It's not fair to other members to listen to complaints and feel downed for their work. Everyone has a fair chance, all we ask if that you put some heart into this character.

Personality: (Doesn't have to be heavily detailed due to age) He's a bit like Burdockclaw in this way, as he's very friendly and outgoing. He loves to laugh and have fun, "bored" means practically nothing to him, as he will say that there is always something to do, sometimes you just aren't supposed to. If you aren't supposed to, he's a bit more likely to choose it over something he's supposed to do. He's also very cunning, and good at figuring out how to do it without getting caught. He might trick a cat to set up distraction, or he might lie about something that makes everyone's attention focus on something else, allowing him to do whatever it was he wasn't meant to be doing. He likes to cause mischief where he can, but he also likes to help others, and can be very friendly, though his intentions can sometimes be wrong, he's often more or less true to his word.

Potential adult personality: (As in, what you're thinking this character could become; naturally subject to change) not nearly as outgoing, as he sopents his apprenticeship scared that he'd never become a warrior, never live up to his parents, and never do anything right. It made him kind of rude and sometimes snappy, and he his his older self, his kinder and friendlier self deep inside so no one could hurt him again. He his true personality where he hopes no one will ever find it. He tends to get angered or frustrated easily, and will storm off to be by himself. He prefers it that way, as being alone let's him think in peace and quiet. That's all Onyxclaw really wants, peace, but he finds that with peace comes a price he isn't willing to pay, and he must first suffer through turmoil. It is possible he might open up to the right cat, but maybe not. He wouldn't have the confidence to train an apprentice, but if he at least tried, he would find that it's easier than he'd thought, and it'd be a major boost in his confidence, which Onyxclaw badly needs. He just needs someone to convince him to at least try, and he might become a bit more like his old self, though he'd never lose the snappiness or minor rudeness, but he'd be more manipulative and mischievous, a mix between his personality as a kit and his personality as it should be.

RP Example: (A recent one is preferable) Aquapaw turned to look at the apprentice, her aqua hues cold and uncertain. The black furred apprentice looked up, then jumped slightly upon hearing his declaration. So many StarClan supporters.... She thought. She'd fought her brother in honor of StarClan as a kit, but she wasn't sure what to do now. She couldn't quite decide. “Why?” the molly asked, peering carefully at Neverpaw, her eyes questioning as she stood there, facing this Clan. She glared at the newcomers. They'd barged in and were now saying that they were going to rid ThunderClan of their leader. Who were they to do that to ThunderClan? She raised her head, her fur now flat. “I fight for ThunderClan!” she yowled, her eyes shining. She didn't move towards SkyClan, like many other ThunderClan cats were. She opened her jaws, about to accuse them of being traitors to their own Clan.

Personality
Right now he has adopted an easy way of manipulation. He tends to let others hear what they want to hear so he can get what he wants. Another trait, as most kits have, is being quite the adventurer! Onyxkit is very adventurous and curious, nearly to the point that he'll get angry if he doesn't know the truth. The kit loves being in on the latest scoop or gossip.

Onyxcall got his name after a very respectable personality trait, which is being a diplomat. He finds many ways to negotiate and tries with all his power to reach a compromise with every party involved. One thing that has never left the tom is his curiosity. He still can become immature when secrets are kept from him and he will try all means necessary to get in on the rumors or news. Though he wants to be seen as a peaceful cat he has to admit about his fiery side. Onyxcall is hot-headed and there's a fairly large list of things you could do to set him off. The strongest thing is going against the warrior code. He loathes cats that can't follow the rules because he sees it as wasting everyone's time and hurting his own clan; he cares deeply for Shadowclan. Like his mother he can be very manipulative, however like his father his is charming. He uses his charm to bend others so he can get what he wants. He often takes advantage of those who care about him or even love him, and he knows this.

His whiskers twitched as his gaze flickered back and forth from Darkbelly, to Sorrelskip, then back. The increasing boredom of the conversation made his paw twitch while it was held up to take a big step through the powdery snow, it was quite obvious he wanted to get to a hunting spot soon so he could distract himself with something, if anything. At least they responded with something.

"Sure it's repetitive, but at least we get something to eat!" His lips pulled back in an almost undetectable smile. "It's a good something to get away from camp." He added, though not actually agreeing with his statement. Sparrowstep rather liked chatting in camp, and the busier it was the more likely something interesting was happening. Usually when he made small talk it was to try to 'relate' to whoever he was talking with. He found speaking his mind freely only pushed cats away and thus he would be left with no friends to communicate with, and that only fueled the monotony of routine.

After his small interaction with the she-cat he shifted his attention to the somewhat distanced tom. "How about you, Darkbelly, was it?" He caught the glance and pondered if approaching him in a flirtatious way would be wise. Sparrowstep often has his fun with flirting, whether it be with toms or molly's, but he has also had bad experiences, so he forces himself to think before he plays. For now he offered a warm grin to the Windclan warrior.

While he waited for a response his gaze wavered over the moors and to few trees in the distance. They were nearing the river. Times were always rough in leaf-bare, mostly concerning prey. His own stomach felt empty as he hadn't had a bite of hare for awhile now. Would they mind crossing the border? Surely they'd be fine with it, we are providing for the clan after all... I guess I'll find out.

Onyx is quite to care free cat from birth. His personality mostly developed around Burdockpool, being similar to his father. He is kind and can sometimes be blinded when caring for someone such as a crush or someone he highly respects.. He is a very honest cat and is also very loyal. He cares both for his clan as well as his family and friends, but would have a difficult time choosing between them though would probably side with his family and friends before the clan f it truly came down to it. Onyx is also a realistic tom with a hint of optimism.

Though as Onyx matures more, he seems to change just a but and become desperate to prove himself to the clan and is sick of be judged for his mother's actions. He tries his best to act like he is unaffected by his clan's attitude towards him and his litter-mates, but in truth it really bothers him. It even gets to the point where he'd put the clan before individuals such as his friends or even his own family. Due to this lust to prove himself, he can be quite impetuous at time - meaning he acts without thinking. He is likely to jump into danger if it busts himself through the clan's eyes.
He is a very ambitious cat that doesn't like to back down when challenged. This is one of his weaknesses. If someone was to insult him or someone he loves, than he feels inclined to show them not to mess with him and is know to even attack someone who insults him. This, of course, does not help with his situation with the clan. He can also be a bit snappy when aggravated and is impatient at times, especially during dire times and he wants everything to calm down. Onyx is kind of a self proclaimed leader, though he doesn't do a great job at leading and inside he is aware of this. Though he still continues to try his best to become a great warrior and prove himself to the clan - and will do so at any cost.

The tom could hardly wait to hear what his new name was going to be. He honestly didn't know what would sound to good with his prefix, but was sure that whatever name Zerosight gave him, he would love nonetheless. He continued to shift his one his paws, though it was mostly in excitement rather than his fear of Ratnight.

His ears perked and he strained them in order to hear as he heard some faint whispers. Northpaw could see that Zerosight looked pleased by the whispers. Is that what Starclan sounds like when they approve? Though he couldn't be entirely sure he had even heard anything since it had been faint to his own ears.

But he quickly put that thought aside when his mentor continued to the naming part of the ceremony. His tail twitched when Zerosight informed him that he would now announce his new name - the name of a full medicine cat, though he would still be technically Zerosight's apprentice despite his knowledge, but he was fine with that and loved his mentor. He was glad that he'd still work under Zerosight and that he would be second that others would come to for medical attention. His mentor was much more experienced when it came to healing.

Northpath, the newly named tom looked clearly pleased by this name. He liked the way it sounded and how it rang on the cave when Zerosight announced it. He wished to thank his mentor for the name and the training, but he decided to hold that until he was finished with the ceremony. It would be rude for the younger tom to interrupt him, especially during such an important time in his own life.

Northpath blushed as he was complimented - similar to when anyone would compliment him. His chest felt warmed as he listened to Zerosight close the ceremony and watched him with kind autumn orbs. Though he doubted that he was all his mentor was saying he was, believing that he mentor saw him through rose colored glasses. AS Zerosight exclaimed that Thunderclan welcomed him as a full medicine cat now, he knew that it was over. The ceremony had been quick, but it was still one of the most important moments in his young life.

"Thanks you," he purred softly as Zerosight congratulated him. "For everything..." he added on the last part he had thought earlier. He licked his mentor's shoulder and waved his tail, continuing to not thin of Ratnight nor what was going on back at camp. Northpath was only in the moment.

Personality; Onyxkit tends to be carefree and smug. He often full of himself, being Blazingnight's kit. He demands respect, and often gets it. Onyxkit hates when others try to depend on him. He surrounds himself with others that are stronger than him, and despises the weak.

Potential Adult Personality; As Onyxkit grows, he becomes more cunning and intelligent, leaning on his mother's actions. He despises the cats who dislike his mother and everything she stood for. Onyxash grows to be a cunning and manipulative cat, gifted from his mother. He still demands respect and will likely worsen. He is very ambitious and is not afraid to fight for what he wants. Though Onyxash is powerlust, he does not lack intelligence in any way. He plans things through carefully, never carefree. At times, Onyxash can be quite negotiable. If he is worked up about something, it will more than likely take him a while to get over it. Onyxash has an indesirable lust to prove himself to his clan. Being the way he is, he often coats his true self with lies and fake kindnesd. He uses his ability to fake different personalities to manipulate cats into doing his bidding.

Rp Sample; Sagewhisker raced through the blinding green undergrowth searching for her long lost companian, Mapledash. Oh StarClan, let him be alright! "Mapledash!" The molly called out. Sagewhisker carelessly raced around, almost hiting a tree. She stopped and panted. Her eyes were blinded with confusion and worry. "Mapledash!" She called out again. It's no use, he's dead! Dead and gone! Sagewhisker slumped to the ground, her amber clouded with grief.

Personality: He is a rather grouchy kit, and tends to be introverted with a hard shell to crack, covering up with anger issues, but he's really mostly lonely. He is very, very quiet and dislikes it when cats talk to him.

Personality:
A short tempered, and loud kit. But, a
friendly one none the less. Onyxkit has
a large amount of energy, and is
slightly laid-back in person. He can get
really frustrated with very little things,
and those little things doesn't even matter.
He can get VERY clingy to almost anyone
that is family, or a friend. Onyxkit is also
quite curious, and asks questions almost
24/7.
Potential adult personality:
Onyxdrop is a friendly, gentle type.
He's a laid-back, but clingy sort of
tom. Onyx's short temper still stands,
but only if he's in a grumpy mood, but
that usually never comes out, unless
some cat gets on his nerves. When he
can't get something right, or someone
doesn't tell him something he gets
frustrated or pestering, and he will
NEVER. STOP, until he gets the answer.
Onyx has a large sense of humor, mixing
with a bit of clumsiness, and
immaturity. Overall a good-natured, but
grumpy tom that means well.

Doepaw's orange amber milky orbs were wide.
Blood, so much blood. And yet...Starclan wanted
this...The Skyclan Apprentice felt terrible for all
the lifes that were being lost. If only they let them

leader that had full control over the clan wanted
blood to spill. Too much blood...she shuddered, tail
lashing behind her. She narrowed her optics to control
her fear, and look around to take care of any EE
Supporter she could find, peacefully or not. She trudged
through the camp, looking to help, or defend, anything
to help her clan win this battle, even if it costed her life.
Doepaw didn't want to die, she didn't, but she knew she
had to, for her clan, for Skyclan, for. Starclan. Doepaw
orbs glared at all the fighting cats, ears twitching and tail
lashing at the dirt. Clanmates vs Clanmates, Skyclan vs
Dark Forest, it was all the same to the apprentice, it was
all the same...

Markings: Onyxkit has parallel strips of brown crossing his chest that resemble jagged claw marks. His right forepaw has a single brown toe, and his chin is also brown. He has a fading patch of brown on his right cheek, that run from beneath his eye to his chin. There's a thick, brown stripe that begins at the base of his tail, and ends at his foot.

Potential adult personality:
Onyxheart can be quite the flirt, but not a straight-forward kind of flirt. He's more of a `hint-hint, I'm charming` type of fellow. He is knowledgeable of his abilities and his handsome appearance, which gives him great confidence. With such a belief in himself, he can be considered as cocky. Honestly, his personality depends on whoever he's interacting with. He's capable of changing his traits so he appears likable to whoever he's speaking with. He's a fan of acting. Onyxheart may seem like a jerk, but he truly isn't. He has a warm heart, and can be a real softie to those he trusts. He's only protecting his walls when he acts. He doesn't think very highly of himself, and he's always silently doubting himself. He's hurt on the inside, but he refuses to show it on the outside. His loyalty cannot be beaten. He's much more obedient when it comes to his loved ones, and he always takes them into consideration being taking action. It's very challenging for him to admit he's wrong, and apologies are a big `no` for him. However, this proves Onyxheart is a persistent tomcat, and he should not be underestimated.

TumbleStep's mouth opened slightly, and his eyelids fell to form a sad expression. He hurt her. How could he? He fought back the tears that came with his thought. He was just so concerned... He never thought of himself to be someone capable of hurting others, but it was as if he wasn't in control of his actions when he forced her chin upwards. The worry had consumed him.

``I am so sorry,`` He murmured, his voice hoarse and laced with disappointment in himself. He cleared his throat in an attempt to chase away the weakness in his speech, and he began to speak before she could. ``Listen, Flower, I'm worried.`` TumbleStep shuffled back slightly, fear keeping him from nearing DaisyShade. He couldn't hurt her again - he just couldn't... He wouldn't.

``That is one deadly injury. And we have to treat it before it gets infected. You can't die, okay?`` Sure, he just met her only a few days before, but she knew of his hurt. The hurt that caused his miserable attitude, the hurt that created who he was. Nobody else was knowledgeable of the information she carried, and maybe, just maybe, she could help him. TumbleStep would normally refuse help, but the hurt of his kins' deaths were killing him. They had died, but he was slowly joining them. Thing is, he convinced himself he wanted to join them, but deep down, he wanted to remain living. But he couldn't do it alone.

He flicked his head over his shoulder towards the medicine cat den before looking back at DaisyShade. He bit his lip as he watched her lap at her wound - the wound he had reopened. His ears briefly flattened at the guilt that stabbed his heart for bringing her pain. TumbleStep silently debated on whether or not he'd tell her of his ditching the battle, but he figured the news would only hurt her worse. ``I'll bring you to the medicine cat den, if you wish,`` He offered quietly. His right forepaw scuffed at the ground as he avoided her gaze. His guilt refused to allow him so much as a glance. He watched the dirt beneath him get scraped away and form a small pile under his belly. The dirt became darker and darker the further he dug. He had only pushed away an inch or so of earth, but the change of darkness in the dirt was noticeable. He softly coughed, and began to push the dirt back into place. Now that TumbleStep has had a few heartbeats to himself, he had reminded himself that DaisyShade needed someone strong right now.

Name: Onyxkit / Onyxpaw / Onyxstrike
Gender: Male
Main Fur: Onyx’s main fur color resembles the stone in which he is named after: very dark, sooty gray. He took on after his mother’s traits.
Markings: Onyx has pitch-black tabby stripes running down his legs and his tail, only. He also has four white paws.
Eye Color: He has rather dull, coniferous shade of green, similar to his father’s.
Fur Length: Onyx is a shorthaired tom.

Personality: Onyxkit is a very easygoing cat, and thus, he could be tampered with anything. He’s extremely naïve, as one could say. Whatever his parents say and do, he mimics and believes. Onyx is easily persuaded by the littlest comments. He could change from a ‘yes’ to a ‘no’ so quick; he obeys orders directly and doesn’t even think much about it. This tom is the perfect minion for doing whatever anybody wants, and he’s too open-minded to believe that others would use him for their own needs. He isn’t very intelligent or bright, but he is quite strong-hearted and passionately argues in what he believes in. Onyx is shaped around the people that are around him, which are his parents mostly, and wouldn’t believe in StarClan or spirits as a kitten. Fitting along with this, Onyx is a little bit reserved. He’s not quite the type to make friends and companionship easily, but rather, he just wishes to please everyone.
Potential adult personality: When Onyxkit becomes an adult, he’d learn that the world isn’t what it seems. Not everything is a direct shade of black or white, but a variety of colors and perspective points. The tom would also realize that his parents- especially Blazingnight- were not exactly the felines that he thought they were as a kitten, but actually deceptionists that changed clan life for the worst. Despite this, Onyx is not a cat to hold grudges, and still holds the flexible, forgiving personality as he had when he was younger. He’d look to his parents as ‘just kin’, not something that he’d admire or follow, but simply as someone he was related to. Likewise, he would later hold a deep belief in StarClan and the spirits, differently than what was in the past. He would hold faith to the Stars and knowing that they’d guide his path and destiny from each breath: after all, they are just another clan, just like ShadowClan.
RP Example: With each cat’s remark, Mintpaw grew weaker and weaker in his defense, and he trembled a little bit as Bumbleleap pushed him down a notch, onto the sticky, blood-filled grass. “You don’t want to hurt me?” he echoed the other warrior, while flattening his ears. “I don’t understand! Blazingnight… and the black star? Wha-what’s all this about?” The apprentice questioned, scrunching up his face in slight confusion, as he had never heard of those viewpoints and stories before.

In all honesty, Mintpaw was so absorbed in his own business of training and hunting that he’d never really paid any attention to current events. He really didn’t mind Blazingnight taking over ShadowClan and always assumed it was for the better. But others were telling him otherwise…

He shivered involuntarily, wondering if the things he knew were all lies, or whether these cats were feeding him lies themselves.
