So me and @Spooky Neon wanted to start a rp, and here's what we came up with! So sorry for the long description, I promise that this rp isn't as complicated as it looks :P This is a roleplay featuring animals in the medieval times, specifically the 13th century (duh lol).

The 13th Century is a rp featuring medieval animals. These animals are anthropomorphic and act just like people would. Cats are the main animals, having conquered most of the world, but there are other wild animals. Cats are trying to destroy these animals in hope of dominating the world. These consist of anything from bears to foxes to bats. Any creature that isn't a cat will be considered an outsider and will reside with small 'tribes' of their kind. Their sole purpose is to get back their glory, and they will stop at nothing to get it back. Mammals are the main focus, and birds/ bugs/ fish/ reptiles are the main diet, farmed by the cats and hunted by the outsiders. (These creatures are also occasionally kept as pets.) It's considered violent and disgusting to eat another intelligent animal, but it is occasionally done for various reasons.
The magic system for this rp is simple. Every type of creature can have magical abilities, but it is extremely rare for outsiders. All cats have at least a tiny bit of magical ability, although there have been cases of completely unmagical cats. Cats have for this reason taken over most of the world (reference basic info). Magic is usually genetic and not visible when young, you grow into it. You start developing it at about 8- 10. Magic is usually signified by unnatural or rare pelt colors, but not always.
Magic works like this; an animal born with magic can use said magic in multiple ways, such as healing, offense, defense, etc. It all depends on the magic user’s preference, culture, training, and natural ability. For example, one magic user might be talented at going invisible or making other things go invisible. Another might use offensive magic, like lighting objects on fire. Magic is extremely dangerous however, even to the user. If used incorrectly, the magic user can be seriously injured. Magic is rather fickle. This is why magic users are usually trained.
Royalty ~ Well, royalty. I'm sure you're familiar with them lol
Wizards ~ These are practically royals themselves. They are chosen as kittens to be trained by powerful magic users. Only the best and talented at magic are chosen for this position. Wizards are forbidden from having a mate or kits.
Doctors/ healers ~ Kittens that exhibit exceptional talent are chosen to train in this position. Occasionally a princess or prince that will likely never be inherit the throne will be chosen. They are mentored by one of the current healers, which there are usually about 2- 3. Their training is never really over, not until their mentor dies anyway. Their abilities are limited to balms, poultices, bandages, along with any magic that they possess.
Knights/ guards ~ Much like servants, knights-in-training are chosen when 10 years old and given a 'mentor' of sorts. They complete their training later. Their role is to fend off against outsiders and destroy them. Mostly male with a few exceptions.
Servants ~ Peasant kittens are chosen to be servants-in-training when they are 10. They complete their training later and are then selected to serve either a noble, a specific royal, or serve in the palace to cook, clean, etc. Mostly female with a few exceptions.
Peasants ~ Peasants are the most common of all ranks, and they come in many different forms. Some are farmers and others are shopkeepers. Some just live on the streets.
There are a few important details that aren't touched upon in the previous paragraphs. All creatures wear clothes and/ or cloth coverings. These will be in the style of, like the title states, the 13 century. Their appearance will also be determined by rank and wealth.
Oh yeah, and cats do not have litters. Each kitten, is born seperately, but there are cases of twins. Twins are more common then irl. The same goes for any other creature. Animals age the same as people btw. An irl month counts as a year in rp. You are responsible for keeping track of your character's age.

~ No powerplaying, especially when it comes to magic! Only advanced magic users can do powerful feats magic without hurting themselves or others!
~ If you join, please be active! I don't want this rp to die
~ Keep your characters and roleplays somewhat realistic. You may give your characters unnatural colors if they are a magic user or they have a magic user for a parent or close relative, but please keep it to a minimum. No neon colors.
~ Only one high rank at a time per person (Royal, healer, wizard)
~ High ranks are currently closed!
~ Remember your character's age! A month is a year! Remember that!
