He enjoyed climbing the oaks trees by the falls, but they never did his memory any good. He knew, deep down, that he missed her more than anything. Sagefur leaped from his oak tree, trotting down a narrow patch of rocks. He walked over a fallen tree, and hoped up the large hillside, overlooking the beautiful forest he'd called home for so long.
RoseThorn would love this.. He thought.
Sagefur kept his sights over the hill, eyeing a flock of geese as they flew by. He sighed, and comfortably laid down on his belly, outstretching his back legs behind him. As he did, his short tail wiggled a little. He loved seeing that whenever he relaxed.
I'm sure that's just a reflex? He thought, smiling.
As he looked back down at the long, green overlay of lush trees, his tiny spark of good feelings burned out. The memory of RoseThorn being taken that night just seemed to replay over and over in his mind, and he wanted it to stop...and yet, he also wanted it, not. He missed her with all his heart, and knew that, if she was here with him, she'd only want him to be strong.
all he hoped more than anything, was that nothing had happened to her...
