Did all cats have this inside them too? That was a question for another day. His paws and mouth worked deftly and as he completed his tasks diligently. |

Branchfur continued cleaning the bones, though she cast a glance around trying to see how others were doing it. Huh. Seems like Cottonpaws method is working pretty well. Staring a bit longer to figure out how exactly he is cleaning the mink bones, Branchfur resumed her own work.

https://warriorcatsonline.com/forums...ictureid=55198 | Gnawingpaw | 5 Moons - WindClan Apprentice Lyrebird's Lullaby - Active | Well Insulated - Active | Bilingual [T1] - Active Continuing through the shore of sifting through dirt to find treasu- erm... bones... yeah... that... had left Gnawingpaw with a coat of mud on her paws unlike any she'd ever allowed herself to sport. Not necessarily vain when it came to her looks, she still couldn't help but wrinkle her nose at the sight. It was awfully reminiscent of the dung headed deputy, seeing as how all he was good for was trailing dust and debris all over the camp. Playfully, she clapped her forepaws together, a cloud of dust flying out. The action coaxing a kittenish trill of laughter from the apprentice, she clapped a few times again, more clouds of dust forming until they coaxed a sneeze from the calico. "Well lookee here. Ya'd have thunk I'd be used to the dust after livin' in it for so long. Guess even a mighty deputy like meself gets taken down by a few specks o' dirt e'rry now and 'gain. No wonder I keep gettin' taken down by me own 'pprentices all the time," the large she-kit chirped away in Crowtooth's voice, momentarily looking to the side by instinct, grin plastered on her face as she searched for someone who wasn't there. Tiny ears flattened as Gnawingpaw momentarily faltered, remembering she didn't have her shadow next to her all the time anymore. Seeds would have laughed at that... and Ber would have probably... well... stared. Something. But instead she was here alone. Like she'd always been ever since Twilightstar had taken away her position as one of the treasured litter. A tiny scowl lit up her features soon enough, however, the she-cat refusing to let herself get down over this. She would just have to find her own new treasure and regain her spot among her littermates, was all... So what if Seeds was gone? She just had to find her and prove how like, necessary to the family she was. ○ Open ○ |

Re: Rule #1 never dig straight down
Dustbunny smiled reassuringly at Vinesmoke when he caught her eye. Who knew the young apprentice she trained would be in charge of setting up their new haven? How much he's grown. She was proud of him, she should say that more often to her apprentices. As Vinesmoke dipped into everyone's roles, Dustbunny purred hearing she'd be working with Fleetpaw. Perfect! This would give him a chance to experience real tunnel work. She wished Littlepaw was here as well, she was sure the apprentice would get a blast out of the experience. So it sounded like they'd be working on clearing out the collapsed tunneling and would be using bones for shoring. She wasn't sure how good of an idea that was as bones were brittle and were known for decaying in the dirt. Hence why they were always buried. They also snap and break rather easily underneath the right amount of pressure. Sure, it took some time for them to decay, but it'd probably be safer to just use rocks and bury the bones. She highly doubted mink bones were that strong anyway compared to rocks. Dustbunny flickered her tail concerned about this plan. She didn't want to step on Vinesmoke's paws as this was his first big project as the head, but the safety hazard... The tunneler glanced around for Fleetpaw while debating how to bring up her concern to Vinesmoke. @Luna16 |

Casting a glance towards Cottonpaw, the brown tabby nodded, Branchfur giving a smile of her own. ''Yes! I'd appreciate it.''
