He blinked his eyes with surprise at the tom's rude comments. Perhaps he had bothered him at the wrong time. He thought about whether he should be insulted or scared. Halfbite frowned, distaste written all over his maw. Alright then. he thought, taken aback as the words flew out of Vulturefang's muzzle. He blinked a few times before parting his jaw to speak. "I'm Halbite." he said bluntly, stepping forward to meet Silkheart's side. As he did so, he caught the tom's nervous gaze, and offered a slight smile in response. Looking back to Vulturefang. he begun to size him up, making a mental note of his attitude. Instead of responding with any hostility, Halfbite continued to gaze quietly at the stranger, his ear flicking impatiently while he waited for a response to Silkheart's inquiry.
