Briarsplash came bounding in, carrying four pieces of prey. The warrior glanced behind her, making sure Wolfhowl was following. Carefully setting the prey into the fresh-kill pile, Briarsplash then padded over to Lynxshade to give the report.
"Good haul... woulda gotten more had Lionpaw showed up, though," she huffed. "The 'paw never showed their face!"
With that, she dipped her head to the Enforcer and waited to make sure Wolfhowl came in.

Lynxshade welcomed Briarsplash and Wolfhowl with a nod, giving a pleased look at the pile of prey they had collected together.
"Good work. Now you can go and have some rest. And don't worry, I'll deal with Lionpaw myself." She confirmed with a frown, then dismissed them with a flick of her tail.

The apprentice trots back into camp and right up to the Enforcer, setting down his two frogs at her paws.
"No idea where the other two went. Badgerstripe or whatever their name is didn't show and Honey-whatever is... Somewhere. She caught stuff but I wasn't waiting around anymore. So here is my haul."

"Batpaw." She called the apprentice, nodding toward the freshkill pile to nudge him toward it instead of waiting for his catch to fly magically to its place.
"This is unbelievable. Badgerstripe will have something to hear, but Honeyspot will be punished twice as hard for having let an apprentice wander alone in the territory." Her fur bristled in rage, but she remembered to lash her tail to dismiss the apprentice.

"Lostspark, why do you hesitate?" She raised her voice to reach the medicine cat, calling her closer with her paw.
"Did everything go okay? Where's the rest of your patrol?" She looked around, waiting to see if Mistlewhisker showed up. Surely, they had caught prey and would show up soon, right?
