Reddove had long heard the commotion in the clearing. It upset him to no end. He didn't know the elders personally, and death wasn't exactly something he or anycat could outrun, but to see distress so plain and clear, it made his stomach churn, knowing that he couldn't stop it. He sat idly as cats poured in and out of the clearing, eyes narrowed in focused slits.

The russet warrior clenched his jaw, scowl deepening. He knew that he had to do something to make up for his own shortcomings and what he couldn't prevent
Death was as unnatural as it was natural, a fact he learned to loathe.

"Mantispaw." He called out, lifting himself to his paws. "Come here." He didn't peak inside the apprentice den, he didn't look for her, but he called her name. She'd come if she wanted to, Reddove wouldn't waste his time.

Mantispaw
"My head's in the clouds but i don't feel close to the sun."

Mantispaw was just sitting in the apprentices den thinking of a 2 certain someone's. She really wanted to see Cloudedpaw and Beechpaw. They were fun. But she had just felt down lately for some reason. Maybe she was missing all of her siblings that went missing. Not even she knew.

But then a faint voice called her name. Her ears perked up as she peaked out of the den. Was it RedDove?

She ran over to her new mentor and smiled. "You called for me?"
