Round paws made her way through the clearing and towards the base of the Galewood as she heard the leader's call. There was relief at the sight of her return clearly etched in the she-cat's blue eyes. Her first instinct had been to join in on the battle, but then something peculiar had happened. Lightningstorm had stayed behind. This was... not something she would have guessed of the petite healer. It was no secret that she loathed the clan. And quite frankly, while she did not agree with her view on life, after what she had been dealt in her short life, the fury found she couldn't bring herself to blame her for it. And yet she had seemingly pepped up of late. She could be seen by the entrance of her den more often. Grinning. A twinkle back in her eye. One would assume because of the birth of her mate's kits and yet... she hadn't gone visit them. Not really. So something was up. She could feel it in her very marrow.

So she remained behind. As much to keep an eye on the calico as she did to keep an eye on her own daughter. StarClan knew how stubborn her darling bird was. She hadn't been informed yet. Of the obvious pregnancy. But after having been through not one but two of her own, Dapplebreeze believed she could trust her gut on such matters, or so she hoped, because goodness was she giddy at the thought. Grandkits! And perhaps these would... actually know her. She would not make the same mistake. Not again.

It was instant. Her desire to seek out her daughter after such thoughts. And yet her eyes met another familiar form that drew her in instead. The massive, scarred feline with eyes so intense they felt like they could almost match her passion for the clan in grumpiness alone. He'd remained behind as well. She was certain he would have had his own grounds for staying. The commander had never been one to shy away from a battle without motive before, and she was certain this raid was no exception. And yet for some reason, she found herself less intrigued in the explanation and more so simply craving his company. Mismatched ears twitching for only a moment, she padded forward, a small, polite purr of greeting rumbling in her throat as she reached him.

A look into his grimacing face made it clear to her that he was in no mood for small talk. Despite her preference for some manner of communication between herself and whoever she was sitting besides, she found he spoke loudest with actions... and seemingly heard them better than words as well. With little more than the purr to announce herself, Dapplebreeze sat comfortably besides him, allowing her tail to gently run along his back in a soothing motion. Her own teasing way of letting him know she had no intention of leaving his side for now, even if she wasn't quite improper enough to verbally state so. There was a vast difference between a playful motion and irritable chatter, and she knew better than to toe the line between both, especially when she had no intention of truly annoying the brown and white tom.

Wow lots of apprentices today. Blinking slightly Crowtooth flicked an acknowledging tail at Lightningpaw before quickly answering Vinepaw so he could give the tom his full attention in a moment.

"I suppose if Dustbunny has said Im the cat fer advanced stuff I aint gonna argue wit' 'er. Nice o' 'er ta say. What 'ave ya done so far kiddo an' what are ya lookin' ta expand so I know who ta grab ya wit' fer a session. Not everyone Im teachin' at the mo is at the same level after all."
As an example Rabbitpaw was far outstripping most of the tunnelers students in both enthusiasm and what he'd learned, but hadnt learnt the really tough stuff like intentional cave ins. Admittedly Crowtooth was a bit wary of that skill himself. Hawkfur on the other paw knew the bare minimum and wanted to keep it that was while Silverrose and Swiftfire had mastered navigation and tunneling but still needed hunting and tunnel fighting. The rest of the furies knew nothing though so if Vinepaw was in that group he'd just snag the apprentice for that rather then an advanced session.
"Ya dont have ta say now, ya can think on it an' what ya wanna master but if ya have a base of knowledge wit' Dustbunny it'll be easier. Dwell on that if ya want."

With that the tom focused on Lightningpaw, who until now he only knew second paw.
This was the cat Rabbitpaw had gotten into a fight with and needed advice about from the mentor. From what Crowtooth could glean Lightningpaw was upset and angry because he was worried, however had taken things too far when Rabbitpaw had not understood that fact. Frankly Crowtooth had advised Rabbitpaw explain things more and that they should both apologize but had worried he'd instead made his apprentice feel in the wrong in the end. Damn his poor ability to word things well but at least the two seemed to still be friends?
"Heya kiddo, Rabbitpaw has mentioned ya before. He did great in the battle, Im really proud but one ear o' his got tattered an' looks kinda like mine now. He did worse ta the cur that did that though.
He's fine last I saw but ya'd be a good cat an' friend if the next time ya saw him ya reassured him hes a good cat an' try an' lift his spirits? Battles can be rough on the heart."
Especially ones first battle.

Lightningpaw would let out a sigh of relief. "I'm glad Rabbitpaw is doing alright then. I wasn't allowed to go to the battle unfortunately due to the fact I don't have much fighting training only some basic moves and I didn't see him when y'all returned I wanted to make sure he was alright. If I could've went I would have fought side by side with Rabbitpaw and no one would've been able to best us." Lightningpaw meowed as he threw a couple paw swipes at the air in demonstration. It was clear Lightningpaw cared deeply for his friend despite their fight though Crowtooth likely didn't know that the two apprentices had patched things up by now. @Rani

"We've two apprentice ceremonies today, Lilykit and Vixenkit." Twilightstar started by calling the kits to the front.

"The battle with RiverClan went as expected, with ShadowClan and ThunderClan's aid, RiverClan has been successfully driven out of the territory." Twilightstar announced while waiting for the kits to arrive at the front.

"RiverClan attempted to fight back but were no match for the might of the three clans. I will say I'm rather disappointed with how few WindClan's cats joined in the fight. Out of all three of clans, I feel that RiverClan wronged us the worst, yet when I give you the chance to right that wrong, so many of you decided to remain home. I'll cut some slack for the apprentices and the furies, but with the number of warriors I have, I expected more from them. The next time we must fight like that, I will remember to only select those who have earned the right to fight."

If WindClan had gone into the battle alone, if Twilightstar hadn't secured ThunderClan and ShadowClan's help, there was no doubt in her mind that WindClan would have been slaughtered. It worried her how lazy some of her warriors had become. They become rather uncaring of restoring WindClan's honor, of fighting for those wrongfully hurt and murdered. When had WindClan's warriors become so self-absorbed? It wasn't like she needed that many, but the thought of not being able to count on her warriors when she needed them the most was worrisome.

"Those of you who did fight did so bravely, I'm proud of you. However, we are not without our losses, Stormcatcher, Silversky, and Hailnose were killed in the battle and buried in the Starry Meadow. Silverfur attacked Sunburst during the battle and was reprimanded and punished for harming a clanmate." She told them. Twilightstar didn't normally go out of her way to announce punishments, but Silverfur needed quite a bit of humbling after speaking to her in such a manner.

So some cats had died.
Yeesh, that wasn’t good, but at least it was only, like, three cats.
It’s obvious that death hasn’t fully registered into Leopardpaw’s mind yet.

But anyway, she was definitely going to the next battle!
She would most definitely have some battle training by then!

Leopardpaw finally registered the fact that Twilightstar had called up some kits.
Well, that meant there would be more apprentices, and it also meant there was finally gonna be some apprentices that she was more experienced then!
Not like… that was important, or anything…
