Scorpionsight looked past the border.
It was quiet.

Borders were never this quiet.

She shouldn't worry about a clan that wasn't her own, but she couldn't help but have some concern.
She hoped whatever caused the silence, if something had, wouldn't come to their territory.

Scorpionsight then heard Crowbreeze ask about the herb.

"Uh...." She was unsure, but she was sure it wasn't any harm in guessing "Maybe marigold? It has that kind of color."
After her guess, she picked up some.

Then Crowbreeze instructed to get on with marking the border.
She did as instructed.

Yup, she was not happy as expected. Dawnstar fought the urge to raise her hackles at the look she received. "If you were anyone else, we'd be watering the earth with our blood, but since it's you, I suppose an explanation should be given." Dawnstar didn't wither or squirm under the older leader's gaze, she's been running a clan nearly as long as Twilightstar, so there was no reason for her to wilt.

"I don't know who killed your warrior, she was dead when I showed up, but it seemed that it was done rather recently. I'll look into it to see who did and I will make sure they are dead, but for now..." Dawnstar drifted off, lifting the body and setting it over on WindClan's side of the border.

"Outside of the death, I did come by to speak with you quickly. One of my former warriors, Lynxshade, ended up spilling to both ThunderClan and RiverClan about our alliance. I doubt it will cause much trouble, but she was punished for it and cast out of ShadowClan." Dawnstar was still a little troubled by Lynxshade's departure, yet there was nothing for her to do now.

"I'd also like to break our alliance once RiverClan is gone. With Bumblebrat gaining control over her clanmates, and RiverClan gone, we no longer need the alliance."

Difficult to tell if that was a threat, a warning, or a promise, but regardless of what it was, Twilightstar remained firm in her stance and rigid while eagerly waiting to learn of what happened to her warrior. The news she obtained was less than satisfactory. She doubted Dawnstar would lie about this, killing her that is. Whether she'd lie about who did it... unlikely.

As the body was set on her side, Twilightstar padded closer and inspected her warrior. Kestrelsoar? Her anger melted like frost on a warm greenleaf morning, turning into small waves of sorrow. She took some time to clean the molly as best she could, eyeing the mark on her neck, and only half listened to Dawnstar as she spoke.

Alliance? She still didn't lift her head but listened more intently to the news of Lynxshade and breaking the alliance. "That's fine with me," She meowed bitterly, lifting her head to lock her cool green eye with golden amber. "Our truce is over after the battle, keep your cats in line, or you'll start having more bodies to collect." Twilightstar hissed warningly. She grabbed Kestrelsoar's body and dragged it further into WindClan's territory leaving the ShadowClan leader behind.

Long ears flicked towards the sound of Gracklepaw, her eyes narrowing for a few heartbeats as she cleared her throat once more. "Yes." There. Easy. She then retreated from her spot just at the borderline to help renew markes. Squirrelpaw seemed to be doing just fine but was anxious. It seemed to be the norm for her. Squirrelpaw reminded her of her friend, Roachflare. Mudslide eyed the apprentice for a moment before she went off to the faded markers.

It didn't take long, just a few good rubs and then her fur was finally free from the rough bark. She cleared her throat again. "That's all. We should go." A long tail flicked at both the apprentices. They were well behaved enough, so she smiled toothily at both of them. Maybe the expression looked rather weird on her maw because it certainly felt weird. Oh well, they got her to show some teeth, politely. That was the best she could do.

"Follow." She mewed, her voice finally gaining some rasp. She sped-walked out from the border and back into new camp.

Willowpaw padded along the border, and found a bit more marigold.
She called to the others “do we need anymore marigold?”
She sat by the clump if the plant to wait for an answer.
