She'd been getting better lately and thought she'd might as well start working like it. Hopefully, Floodsight would return back to her normal flow of hunting, patrolling and teaching the little ones. Speaking of little ones, there was definitely another kit who'd ask for beginner's swim lessons. Who was it...? Ah yes, Greenkit. Floodsight dusky blue-gray eyes lit up warmly before proceeding to the nursery to pick up the little one. As the weather started warming up, there'd been many kits requesting to learn swimming early.

The long furred warrior approached the entrance of the nursery slowly before poking her head into the warm den. "Greenkit?"

"Are you ready for a swimming lesson, little one?"

Greenkit walked over, shaking slightly. I'm taking my next step towards being a real warrior! I hope I can do this... no, i CAN do this!... oh! I should probably answer Floodsight.

He straightened up and looked directly at her, eyes gleaming. "Thank you, floodsight! I'm ready to learn everything you have to teach!" He quickly and forcefully stopped himself from shaking and stood ready, trying his best to look serious.

"That's good~ hope you had a good morning. Let's get you down to the pool first." Floodsight replied with a soft smile. She had noticed the little one was a little shaky. Nervous? No...she wasn't too sure, but the silver warrior made a mental note to keep that in mind.

Floodsight led them towards a little shallow pool they had in camp. Small enough to give the little ones a chance to wade, but nothing too deep. For a warrior like Floodsight, it was like stepping in a puddle. The silver warrior stopped them in front of the pool to run through some ground rules for Greenkit. She's sure the little one was quite well behaved, but it was still customary to let the kit know and double check their understanding on safety. "Alright little one, first things first. Safety is our first priority and that means no swimming without warrior supervision~ and lastly, let me know right away if you need help or feel uncomfortable, alright dear?"

He looked at the pool, confident in face, but a little worried in the back of his mind. What if something bad happens? I know it's not that deep, but for me? It could be dangerous. But i'm not going to let ANYTHING stop me from becoming a warrior someday!

He straightened himself up, looked back at floodsight, and said, in his most confident voice: "Got it! Should I get in?

Good. It was good to hear the little one had understood. Floodsight nodded gently and motioned Greenkit to follow her into the pool. When he was about chest high, the silver warrior offered, "Would you like to try jumping? It would feel like you are floating, or just falling really slowly. I'll be here if you need it."

"And if you are confident enough, try paddling your paws in this motion." She mentioned, moving her paws in a circular motions against the water. Floodsight demonstrated with one paw at first and then slowly she added in the rest. Her stormy blue eyes glanced over to Greenkit and hovered in closely to catch him if he falters. "This would help keep you afloat, and if you angle yourself forward, you'll go forward."

Got it. Let's do this! He padded up to the water quickly and leapt in. Water flowed up to his shoulders, cool, but not too cold. mmm... that's great... I wouldn't want to be anything other than a riverclan cat! I He started slowly paddling, and then slowly sinking. "Oop!" He sped up his paddling a bit, and floated back up slowly.

He slunk out of the water after a moment. "That was fun! Oh, Floodsight, I was wondering if you could show me you swimming sometime so I could take notes? I try to learn by watching and taking notes, then trying.

The silver warrior almost audibly gasped when the little kitten went down for a second. Her fur almost stood up with fear. Though she could very well reach him in time, the thought of a kitten inhaling water wasn't pleasant at all and it was something she'd like to avoid at all cost. She was so close to reaching and grabbing him out of the shallows, but the little one had managed to stay afloat. "Oh stars- you scared me a tad bit, little one."

"But good job, Greenkit, you did great and I'm glad that was fun," Floodsight replied with small sigh of relief, her heart was warm with pride. Her stormy eyes gaze over to the little kitten who seemed more than ready to challenge the next task. Floodsight padded backwards and a little deeper in the shallows, with her eyes still trained onto Greenkit. Though the water was too shallow for Floodsight to actually swim properly, the silver warrior was still willing to give the little one an example.

"Of course, Greenkit. Watch my paws, their movements." She spoke, as she paddled in the same spot. "When I push down on the water, I can stay in one spot. This helps you stay afloat when you don't know where to go. But, if you push against the water. Like so, you can propel yourself forward."

"Would you like to give that a try, dear?" She asked, steadying herself and returned to Greenkit's side.

Greenkit started mumbling to himself quickly and barely legible."I see... She's continuously moving her paws, keeping her from sinking, at the same time as pushing water to propel her forwards! Hmm.... So I have to continuously push water away from me to swim properly!"

He jumped back into the water, relishing the cool feeling once again. "Now lets try this"... He attempted to swim straight forwards, but ended up circling. "This is harder than it seems..." He tried again, and again, and again, before finally swimming straight forwards towards the other end of the tiny pond. After he got out, he shook slightly, then a little bit more, before stopping. "Thank you for teaching me, Floodsight! I really enjoyed it!"
