Do you even care that you've left things beyond repair?
The story didn’t make sense. It never did when her mother spoke. Burningkit was only a child. She didn’t know anything about her or her legacy. It hurt. The distance hurt. The relationship was crumbling at the seems and she couldn’t repair it. Burningkit doesn’t dare look in her direction anymore. It is so clear to the shecat that she has been disowned. Removed from the family like her mother did before her. Burningkit can only watch as close friends leave, they distance themselves from her. All because of her and her legacy.
Small grey paws halted at the sight of those familiar eyes meet her own. The yellow eyed kitten can only feel fear as she makes perfect eye contact with her mother. The grey pelt of despair and destruction growing closer towards the child. Burningkit feels that oh so familiar burning in her throat as the tear sweep through her eyes. She steps back. The larger cat getting closer. Eyes remained at her. Silence filling the air as her mother stops. Burningkit escapes the encounter with her. Her mother can sense the fear and Burningkit knows that. The shecat turns around. Leaving her daughter shaking as tears steam down her face.
Once again, her presence can simply strike fear in Burningkit. She had grown to never speak to her. To never even look at her. But it was all Burningkit could do as she watched the shecat leave. Burningkit knew the tales of her and the legacy she left behind. No connection to the stars, forcing herself to be disowned…to even the cases of “disappearances” of her clanmates.
But that was simply what came from a murderer. What came from the daughter of Lostspark. Fallenhowl.
