In Character;
The tom's bushy tail could be seen sticking out from the small den, which was under some roots of a tree, lashing slightly as the tom lay some new feathers down that he collected from his hunting in the morning. Moss, Feathers and some crunchy leaves covered the bottom of his den, keeping him from having to lay on the dirt beneath. He slowly backed out and shook out his fur, getting what dirt had collected in it off.
He inspected his fur then, checking for dirt that remained and any that stuck up out of place. His tongue soon flattening some fur on his sides that had been pushed up when he backed out of the den. If it wasn't for him being Finicky, one may not get the feeling this tom once wore a collar and called a twoleg nest his home. But, perhaps they still do not get the feel of him being a former kitty pet, perhaps they just think he's vain..
Well, either way they thought they'd be correct. The tom wasn't fond of being nor getting dirty, and he was exceedingly vain about his appearance. The tom called himself Claudandus, preferring his new name over his old one - a name only cats close to him would ever know. Claudandus was a bit ling though and so he permitted cats to call him by 'Claude' instead. It was easier to pronounce, least for kits, as well.
Claude nestled down in one of the only patches of sun there was, glad to feel the slightest hint of warmth from the sun's rays.
