ShadowClan Medicine Cat Apprentice (Applications)

Ebonyfang is starting to feel like he needs help around the den, so he’s looking for an apprentice. This isn’t just a normal finder for finding a medicine cat apprentice. There will be no form. I will be handpicking the apprentice through roleplay. He will interact with everyone who’s interested and they will spend a day with him. Like finding herbs or healing.

And now a word from the Grump himself...
Yes as my owner has said above I'm looking for an apprentice to help me around my den. Also we do need a cat to help me when there are patients. I'm not just looking for an apprentice I'm looking for a companion. One that I know I can trust. If anyone out here who wishes to be my apprentice they must not try to argue with me unless absolutely necessary. I'm not asking you to be my friend, but I don't want you as my enemy. We can't work together if we hate each other. You don't even have to respect me we just need to see eye to eye. Now I'll let my owner get to the rules.

Rules
>All your doing is placing your character's name and a brief description. Please don't use a form doing so or your cat won't be considered. I want you to be creative with it.
>Only Apply if you really want your character to become a medicine cat apprentice. I don’t want to pick a cat and it turns out it was only a joke.
>I want a younger cat as he isn’t really a big fan of older cats. They usually annoy the crap out of him. Plus he would rather teach a young cat than an adult cat.
>High Rank rules apply as well!
>They should be able to get along at least a little bit with him, because if your cat is rude to him he won’t consider your cat. If there’s anything he hates it’s rude cats.
>He might give your cat a nickname as it was passed down from his former mentor Irisflame.
>Shadowclan only, Ebonyfang doesn’t want to teach someone outside Shadowclan as he doesn’t feel they are worth it.

PuddleKit

PuddleKit may be just a kit but she loves to help out. She likes to hang out and relax. She can also be timid. She doesn't like being outside of a den very much, in fear of a hawk getting her, PuddleKit is a black cat with dark green eyes!

Now it is time to see for yourself how she is! Instead of me, a dumb two-leg, describe her!

PuddleKit quickly padded around the Medicine den, looking for, um, what were they called? Oh yeah! Poppyseed! She quickly snatched them up and gave them to her patient. She didn't really understand why they were hurting but she was glad to help! "Eat these please!" The black kit mewed happily. [Cat eats seeds] "Now that you've eaten them, how are you feeling?" PuddleKit asked, "On a scale from 1-10!" She mewed. ["4, I guess."] "Great! Stay here for a bit to rest and you'll be good to go!" PuddleKit trotted over to the herb supply, "Mm, the herbs don't seem to be running low. "EbonyFang! I'm done!" She shouted to her mentor-ish.


Now that you've seen how she acts let's go interview her!

Me: PuddleKit, Why do you want to be a MedicineCat?
PuddleKit: It looks fun! Plus, I don't like hurting cats or getting hurt, it hurts!
Me: Okay. How do you feel about being in camp most of the day?
PuddleKit: I'm okay with that. I would be safe in the Medicine Den. No hawks there!
Me: That's fine. What do you think of EbonyFang?
PuddleKit: Well, I've never met him. B-but I'm sure he's nice!
Me: Okay, If you think so. Anyway, how good are you with having a chance to see blood?
PuddleKit: I don't wanna see blood! I-i just want to feed poppy seeds and take out thorns from cats' paws!
Me: Alright, that should be enough. I'll send it to EbonyFang and his Twoleg!
PuddleKit: Okay!

Personality: VERY cheery. He loves interacting with other cats, and may annoy them with his positive attitude, but sometimes it helps.

Roleplay

”Hi, Ebonyfang!” Goldenkit bounced into the den. “I heard you were searching for an apprentice. You probably don’t know me, because our clan is so big, but I’m Goldenkit!” He sat down and mewed enthusiastically. ”Ahem, I would be grateful if you picked me,” He straightened up, acting more formally. “I know the basics. Poppyseed helps pain, marigold stops bleeding, cobwebs soak up blood. Along with that, I know a few extras like borage, which helps milk come for queens, uh..” He hesitated to name the last one. “Oh, right! Burdock root! It’s used for infected rat bites.” He got to his paws from the remembrance. Sitting down again to calm himself down, he once again attempted to be serious. ”I would love being a medicine cat because.. well, doing it would make me happy! Helping clanmates is important to me, and I would like it to be my job.” he looked at Ebonyfang with his green eyes. ”And, I’ll help however I can! I can sort herbs, go on patrols to look for them, whatever you need help with.” He got up. “Thanks, Ebonyfang!” Goldenkit left the den.

Plot Ideas

Goldenkit is a very cheery cat, so he could lighten the mood. I’m assuming Ebonyfang may be a little hard on him, which I think he needs. He will work hard to fulfill requests, but sometimes it isn’t enough. Goldenkit also feels he has a special connection to plants. Almost everyone is annoyed by his optimism, so he thinks the plants enjoy his company more. He may be caught just talking about things to them, spilling out secrets and insecurities that make him upset. Also, fun fact, he gets distracted easily.

Silentkit is a black she-cat with grey patches and blue eyes. She'll actually get a chance to interact with Ebonyfang before her interview, and that's where she'll gain her interest in it.
She is 1 1/2 moons old, but she's existed for more than a month real time and has way more than 5 posts so I can age her up.

The grey patches are from burns, and the fur never grew back right. She's empathetic towards other cats, kind, and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Yet. (jk)

But all that is boring. You don't want to hear about personality traits, I bet you want to hear about why Silentkit is different than others. (that sounded weird OoOoOoOoOh I'm SpEcIaL) She's mostly mute due to autism (like her owner) and the fire she was in as a kit wrecked her voice box. She speaks rarely, and with terrible grammar, but she's not stupid. She has a lot more going on in her head and is a great listener. Her grammar will improve as she grows. She mostly uses tail signals and body language to speak. She's incredibly observant of other cats and loves people watching.

She's very difficult to manipulate, but if you appeal to her interests she'll be blinded for a while. She's difficult because she has a very innate sense of right and wrong, and sees the world in a black and white perspective. She doesn't care about being kind, she cares about justice. She'll pretty much do what she thinks is the right thing, no matter what that is. Even though she doesn't much care about being kind, she knows it's right, so she will.

Silentkit's biggest interests are plants and bugs. She doesn't actually know what plants do, but she enjoys picking apart flower buds and leaves and looking for the biggest and most colorful leaves. She'll go hunting for bugs and dissect them to see how they work because she doesn't understand yet they're alive. Some cats say they hear her whispering to them...She's an eccentric sweetie pie, overall.

I would do a mini interview but I'll wait for ebonyfangs bc silentkits speech patterns wouldn't work

Lichenkit, a walking trainwreck.

She is both aloof and clingy somehow, getting jealous easily but hating when others cling to her. She is smart but too lazy to work terribly hard as of yet- she requires some tough love type of motivation but will definitely push against it because she is also a contrary feline. She enjoys being difficult and disagrees with cats just because. However, she can also be friendly when she wants to be and is energetic and skilled- she buzzes around and does things surprisingly quickly for someone so lazy. Lichen is an odd bird and spends much of her time with plants, talking to them and keeping them safe. She’s much nicer to plants than other cats, to be truthful.
