Melting Ice! (P)

I woke up and rubbed my eyes. They fluttered open, as my sight came into focus. My parents forgot to close the door... The whole house might be frozen by now! My room was filled with snow and ice, my climate. I slid out of bed, onto the crunching snow in my room. I walked out, closing my door behind me. Thankfully, nobody was freezing, except for Lame, my sister. It was snowing outside, more like a blizzard, and Flame seemed to be complaining. My mother looked tired of it.

Cold, freezing cold.
Was the only thing That ran thru my foggy sleep ridden skull. I struggled to wake from my heavy bear slumber: at least thats what my family compared it to. I groaned and sat up why now? I slipped from my blankets, bare feet touching the wood planks of my room. I nearly rocketed back into my cozy cocoon, the floor was freezing! apparently someone forgot to close the door to the ice cube. Aka the dollar store rip off of elsa... Who was also my sister. Manning up I stomped onto the floor letting a surge heat run thru my body. Ripping the comforter off my bed I wrapped it across my broad shoulders, A scowl practically frozen into place. As I walked out of my room and out into the hallway I glared at snowy's now closed door. How rude. " Just a bit colder I don't think we're all frozen! " he called, making sure it was loud enough for her to here.

I rolled my large eyes as I heard my brother. "Not my fault!! That'smom and Dad's fault!" I called. The Icecube... I kinda like that nickname! Flame... She has no nickname that I know of. "Sis! I'm cold!" Flame whined, deciding to come to me. "Go to your room then! You fireball!" I hissed. She headed to her burning room. I sighed as she closed the door. For once, can I have a normal family?
(Btw, she has a disabilitywhere she can't stop smiling, except for when she was talking. Who shall RP the parents? They have normal parents, who have magical children!)

I rolled my eyes at her comment was that the best excuse she could manage? " yeah well, I'll make sure to blame mom and dad for freezing my underwear soild!"
I continued down the hall, eventually ending up in the kitchen. Opening a cabinet I took a half empty cereal box out and slightly stumbled to the fridge. Swinging the door open I snatched the milk from its place and flopped down at the table. The essentials for this cheap breaky was already waiting for me. " time to make some magic. " I muttered half heartedly, dumping the rest of the cereal into a bowl. Opening the milk I tipped it over, only to be half surprised when nothing flowed into my bowl. Dropping the milk on the table I groaned. Why did everything have to be frozen? Sitting up I resorted to eating dry cereal. Hey ma, ever consider selling snowy to scientists who r trying to solve global warming?" I shouted loudly hoping that the deranged ice cube heard my words.

"What is WRONG with you?!" I hissed to my brother. "Honey! The children are fighting!" Mom called. She was trying to wash the dishes with frozen water. "Really, mom?" I mumbled. I stayed standing, as if I sat, the chair would freeze. Then I remembered the moment my parents learned about Flame and my powers. "But... Thay can't be! Me and my husband aren't!" Morika, our mother, had said. I was around 4 at the time. Boy I had a good memory...

I snorted holding up my hands in defense " there's nothing wrong with me sis, maybe u should just spend some time alone and cool off." I snickered at my joke, sometimes I was just to punny. Grabbing another handful of cereal I let it drop piece by piece into my mouth. " Oh, and ma, I don't think u gonna get those dishes done anytime soon. Maybe it would help if we got rid of the source. " Coughing into a fist I glanced over at snowy with a smirk. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my fathers voice from a back room " be there In a moment! " he called. I shook my head, thats what he always said, he was never here. Practically skipping out on most of our child hood. Did he even know that they were freaks of nature? I didn't think so.

I don't think so sweetie." She said. She sighed. "I know... I don'tknow what I was thinking." She said to her son, patting his head. I sighed. Why can't I be normal? I never get patted on the head! I thought, not noticing the tear escaping my eye. The moment it touched my skin, it froze. Flame came out of her room, and put her hot hand on the sink, causing the water to flow freely.

I let out a tremendous yawn and shivered, " someone needs to turn on the thermostat." I muttered, vigorously rubbing my arms in a vain attempt to keep warm. Honestly I was kinda jealous on how strong her powers had gotten, since she was young. I clearly hadn't gotten far with my skills, most likely cuz of my lazy persona. Trying to show off a bit. I focused intently on a shadow in a corner. I poured my will into as it slowly grew darker and larger. Perspiration cover my brow as I forced it to stay there. The small shadow had increased to a gaping mouth of complete and utter darkness, The edges seemed to evaporate into a misty haze. I completely released the hold and it faded away back to its normal shade and size. Feeling exhausted he looked over at snowy and bobbed his eyebrows "how was that? Presumably better than ur skill."

I looked as he did his power. "Yeah! I am a little jealous!" I said smirking. "Though I could go outside with summer clothesand be perfectly fine!" I said. Flame took her hand off of the sink, deciding to go say her first ever hello to her father. "Should we follow her?" I asked, gently pulling on my scarf.
